“If you've visited & enjoyed the extraordinary culinary delights of India then you know how difficult it is to get a meal with the subtly and range of Indian food in Connecticut. That problem has been solved for my wife and I with our recent dinner at Taste of Everest. This mom & pop six table restaurant left us both satisfied and looking forward to our next visit. �We began with the Saffron Butter Garlic Crab which was a perfect beginning with a serving of naan. The vegetable steamed momo (dumplings) came with a variety of sauce dips including a mint dip and a 'burn your face off' fiery option. After our generous main courses it was impossible to order any desert but we will definitely do so on our next visit.”

“What a cute little place. With snow on the ground the setting could not have been more picturesque. We shared the Warm Brussels Sprout Salad, a Pasta with Eggplant and the Salmon. All were very yummy. If I was to pick nits, the Salmon could have used a little more zing.”

“Came in on a whim, I had initially been planning on eating dumplings tonight but the dumpling place was closed. I was blown away by the food, absolutely delicious and Srihari (the waiter) helped me pick an appetizer and entree that was perfect for me (I love spicy food but can't eat it as much as I used to because of stomach issues).The okra was very crispy, wonderfully spiced, and was just a tiny bit spicy. It was spicy enough to enhance the flavor but not so spicy that I'd start sweating. The tikka masala was also delicious. The sauce was very creamy and flavorful without being drowned in oil. The chicken was tender and really soaked in the flavor of the sauce. It was served with light, fluffy long grained rice. I also ordered a side of buttered naan, which was fantastic. The naan was lightly seasoned and generously buttered, making it the perfect accoutrement for the creamy masala. It added just the right bit of flavor and structure to the dish.In addition to the fantastic food, the wait staff was superb. As I mentioned, the waiter (Srihari) who took my order was extremely helpful. He helped me pick my entire order and was very attentive to my table during my whole meal even though the restaurant had a fair bit of diners in it, including a couple larger tables where he'd likely get better tips. He came by with exactly what I needed, when I needed it, from refills to to go boxes, without being overbearing. While I was eating, he'd generally leave me alone except to ask once how the food was. Then, right when I was done eating, he came by and offered to get boxes and the check. Absolutely perfect service! Srihari wasn't the only helpful staff member either, a waitress also came by my table several times. One time she was bussing another table and just happened to notice my water was low. She came by and refilled it without me saying anything even though I wasn't 'her' table.From start to end, I had a wonderful meal here and will definitely be coming back again! I would've attached more pictures, but the food was so good, I completely forgot about it until I was already done.”

“Grabbed a quick dinner and drinks at the bar prior to a concert. Service is great, happy bartenders! We absolutely enjoyed our cocktails, spicy chicken sandwich, and snapper and pickled chili tacos. As out of towners, we picked 29 Markle based on location and reviews. We were not disappointed! It’s rare to luck out and find an amazing place like this!! Rebecca, our bartender, showed grace under fire with a packed room and a full bar!”

The food is innovative and always amazing. And the atmosphere is fun, love their space. We always pop in to the British product shop next door after lunch to grab treats which is an added bonus.”

The staff is very friendly and the service was absolutely amazing. Willing to help with whatever you need for you and your guests. We have been both guests and the hosts of parties here in their private room and each time was a great experience. The food is delicious. The burgers, breaded chicken tenders, grilled chicken and onion rings are amazing. A large variety of choices on the menu. You cannot go wrong here with anything! Don’t forget to save room for dessert because the milkshakes are great too!!!”

“This is by far the best pizza place anywhere in Connecticut ANYWHERE. I have never had a pizza be this constantly good anywhere else in Connecticut which is surprising coming from a place so close to New York. The service is always great lovely people, and ambience feels as if I'm in a basement with friends eating home made pizza pie.”

“Wanted to try something different tonight from GrubHub. I’ve gotten Halal food from a food truck in New Haven which I love. I saw Shah’s Halal Food in Orange and said let me try it. “Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had. The cowboy steak was amazing!!! 4 of us sampled each other's dishes and we were all impressed with them all. The vodka sauce was one of the best I've ever tasted. And then there are the desserts!!! Everything was perfect from start to finish. Cannot recommend enough.”

“Pretty good bar for cocktails in Newtown center. The cocktails were creative- I got the non regurts which had a yogurt base. While the cocktail was very good, it still had a very strong mezcal taste. I'm not a huge mezcal fan and wouldn't have gotten this but the waitress promised that the other ingredients in the drink would mask the smokey taste, it did not. I then went back to my go to cocktail and ordered a dirty martini. The waitress explained that they took their house marinated olives and muddled it in so you get an extra dirty martini and she was right on this one, I enjoyed very much. Overall, a very nice place to drink on a Saturday night especially because they have live music after 8p!”

“Phenomenal service top to bottom. My partner and I sat by the window with a gorgeous view of the river below us. The non alcoholic cocktails are beautifully crafted, making it feel as though you’re really drinking with the rest of your party. Be sure to not miss any of their amazing specials! We shared the pana cotta for dessert and were gifted complimentary house made limoncello and biscottis. If you are staying at the hotel zero degrees, it would truly be a shame to miss out.”

“Great little place in downtown Bethel. I've been here a few times and I've tried the fruit bowls in the bowl and in the mason jar. The pitaya base is my favorite followed by the açaí. My kids like the banana base with Nutella drizzle. They can also out the whole thing in a bowl made out of a pineapple which is a pineapple sliced in half vertically. I want to try that next. The bowls are very good and you get a good portion for your money. It also doesn't take very long to get your order which was great.”
