“If you've visited & enjoyed the extraordinary culinary delights of India then you know how difficult it is to get a meal with the subtly and range of Indian food in Connecticut. That problem has been solved for my wife and I with our recent dinner at Taste of Everest. This mom & pop six table restaurant left us both satisfied and looking forward to our next visit. �We began with the Saffron Butter Garlic Crab which was a perfect beginning with a serving of naan. The vegetable steamed momo (dumplings) came with a variety of sauce dips including a mint dip and a 'burn your face off' fiery option. After our generous main courses it was impossible to order any desert but we will definitely do so on our next visit.”

“Hands down one of the best taverns that I have ever been to. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent and staff were very friendly. The food was a bit on the higher end side, price wise, but it was definitely worth it. I would recommend getting the Chili Garlic Crispy Shrimp, the Paccheri Pasta, the Steamed Mussels, and the Steak Frites.”

My buddy Jeff had been raving about it, so we thought, why not give it a shot? And boy, were we in for a treat! First off, the place had this cozy vibe, you could say it was cute.. Built good. As we walked in, we couldn't help but think, "Oh cawd, this might just be the spot!" And let me tell you, it didn't disappoint. The pizza was out of this world – I mean, the small was practically as big as the large! We were like, "Is this some kind of set up or something?" But nope, it was just Planet Pizza doing its thing. And those home-baked cookies? They were the cleanest best pleasure. Everyone should come try the ‘Have a Seat Special’. Trust me, it will have you coming back again and again. “I got the Lychee romantic Crêpe and the jasmine milk tea boba. The lychee romantic I got with strawberry substitute instead of raspberry (allergic) and it was pretty good. I will say the strawberry's were definitely not in season. They were extremely bitter and sour. The jasmine milk tea was okay, the milk is powdered so it did give it an off taste. These pearls are more in the firmer side. I can't really say anything about the service as we went on a day they looked like they were having a health inspection. I'm assuming he was the manager or owner was very distracted and after we got our food a few other people walked in.”

“One of our local favorite stops. We had lunch on Saturday before the Super Bowl. Staff, as always, are very accommodating. We had two Big Mack burgers ? with a side salad. It's one of the best damn burgers we've had in a while! Go and enjoy.”

I come here about once a week as a rewards member, and the deals are better compared to other locations. Never have I had a bad burger from this place. Probably 50% cheaper than some of the restaurants a little further down the Post Rd in Fairfield Center that I drove by. I never feel rushed at your place. “Visited SDW last week for lunch with a chef pal who has several restaurants overseas. When he is Stateside, he always searches for staple foods done right. Gary and the crew delivered on all fronts. My go-to is the New Englander, and it never disappoints. My buddy had the Chicagoan and loved it. We both got a burger as well, which was cooked perfectly and impressively juicy. We were both taken aback by the hand-cut fries with S&P. We commented on how hard it is to consistently turn out such high-quality, short-order potatoes, and Gary gave us a detailed rundown of their process. After a lengthy discussion, including the merits of whole-belly clams vs. strips, Gary even gave us an order of hand-battered onion rings to try, which were also stellar. Super Duper is the real deal, from the menu to the people!”

“I love Las Vetas! It is the best coffee spot in Fairfield, no question. The vibe of this spot is so cool, with various music and other 60s/70s memorabilia and tchotchkes decorating the interior. It feels old school and classic in such a fun way. There's even a piano near the back. It's not just the ambiance, the food is great too. Frothy, delicious lattes are served in mugs, if you stay for your meal. They also make really tasty breakfast sandwiches, probably one of the best I've had in the area. And the employees are great too. Always super nice, greeting you with a smile and a brief conversation. I really can't recommend Las Vetas enough. I'm now a regular!”

“This is my favorite frozen yogurt place!! They always have multiple different flavors and they change them up too. Many different toppings. Maybe because it’s right in the middle of the post road in Fairfield they are ALWAYS busy. Lots of teen/tween kids, usually we take the frozen yogurt to go so we don’t have to deal with all that. Tip: if you’re taking the ice cream to go, we have about a 20 min ride home, use one of the ice cream dividers in the cup!! For some reason they don’t melt as fast.”

“Really good coffee. They rotate the beans they use so sometimes so sometimes it tastes different but they roast beans in house and it makes for some of the best coffee in town. Their breakfast sandwich is also great, with crispy bacon and eggs that aren't over or under-dome, and the best part is the pretzel style bun they put it on. 5/5 favorite breakfast sandwich.”

I buy their beans to make French Press at home and the baristas (shout out to Andrea and Yvette) helped me to find a blend that matches the flavor profile I enjoy. I don't find the space very conducive to spending a lot of time there--inside is narrow and very sunny, outside also has basically no shade unless you can grab the one table with an umbrella--but other people seem to linger and work. Plenty of parking and a couple of cute shops and excellent restaurants nearby. Also nice that it is a little removed from the most congested areas of downtown Fairfield.”

Everything came out hot. The drinks were also good the green tea and mango boba was also available. Enjoyed the service and overall ten out of ten will def try again.”
