We have been patronizing Carpenzano's for the past five years. Their food is consistently terrific. In an area where there are many options for pizza/Italian food it is our go-to place for takeout. Previous reviewers mentioned charred or burnt crust. That is by design. New Haven style appiza (pronounced ah-beetz) is cooked in a wood-fired oven that produces a thin, crispy crust that is charred, which is known as "leoparding." It's the best!
