Delicious. Great staff. Cozy fireplace. Excellent wings and pizza. Nicely spaced out dining room. Would definitely recommend.

Our intention was to get ice cream at Wentworths when we drove by Donato's. Thinking of having just a quick slice each, we gobbled up this wonderful new haven style pie (with no tang). Too bad we don't live anywhere close to this gem

I found this place while exploring Rt 10, and decided to double back and try it. I was very happy with the service and the food was very delicious. I ordered the Chicken Pesto Panini and enjoyed every bite. Will come back again.

I just had a book launch party for my recently published children’s book about hearing loss awareness. Needless to say it was a special event for me and I wanted everything to be perfect. I’m so glad Donato’s was able to cater it. The food was great- so many different kinds of pizza. My guests loved it. Highly recommend for any party or special event.

First time at this new restaurant. Same location as several other Italian restaurants but this one was started from scratch. It's a very eclectic looking building. The main part is "traditional " while they've added on a glass enclosure with a garage door. It's both middle America 60's gas station meets ultra modern. There's also a size-able outdoor seating area if the garage door is closed. Once inside you'll see a couple of specials boards and a cafeteria style steam table with Italian food. Next to that is a display fridge with some great looking Italian specialties+. The pizza oven are brick outside. I'm not sure what's inside. I ordered a Margherita pie and an eggplant parmigiana sub. The pizza was good but the cheese was melted too much and may not have been from large pieces of fresh mozzarella, but I'm not sure. The eggplant sub was very good. The sauce was sweet which is how I like it. However, the bread was soft. A more traditional Italian bread would've been nice, but it does keep the roof of my mouth safe! I didn't get any, but they sell gelato by the scoop. They have Foxon Park sodas. I didn't get a paper menu so that post will have to wait until next visit.

This location was formerly lots of other restaurants, none of them good. I stopped for quick lunch driving North on route 10 @ 12:45PM. Only plain cheese was available by slices, so I ordered two along with can of Diet Coke. The slices were smaller than many, but the texture of the bread was almost un-chewable. The sauce was not very good and the cheese stingy .not much taste. In New Haven county, this was inexcusable.

While we have been here many times for pizza, paninis and other entree food in the display case, it is the stuffed breads that made me want to write a review. I ordered 5 different stuffed breads for a party I was having and they were great. I was told that I could basically order anything I wanted in the breads. I ordered a fresh mozz, tomato and basil, spinach, broccoli, sausage and pepper, and buffalo chicken. They were wonderful. There is great outside seating, a drive through window, and even some fabulous gelatos. They don't serve alcohol but you are welcome to BYOB. I'd recommend this place!!!

Small Pepperoni apizza for lunch. Thin dough but still soft nd delicious great sauce too. Coal fire brick oven. Look for the red Ferrari out front ?

First time trying their pizza, I got 2 cheese slices to go. It was tasty and good crust. Thin with a good char taste, but my biggest dislike was there was no cheese on half the pizza. Once I reached the middle of the slices, it was just crust and sauce on both. Ended up throwing it out and was like "where's the cheese??". Maybe I'll try it again in the future. We'll see.

I just finished a delicious dinner at Donato’s and wanted to share! The staff was super welcoming as I came in and very attentive to food restrictions that I have. I cannot say enough good things about their food and wanted to leave some love. Their fish salad is honestly one of my favorite things to order (you should totally get some!) but tonight I branched out and enjoyed a delicious dish with chicken and broccoli rabe - the preparation was just perfect and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. I started coming to Donato’s when they were a pizza truck and enjoyed their vast array of pizzas, brussel sprouts remains my fave, but I’m always so pleased by what they have to offer. I can’t wait for a crab cake next time or maybe a rice ball...who knows, but I know it will be delish!

Once again Donato’s hits it out of the park! Pasta Fagoli like my grandma would make! Grinders packed with goodness! Have eaten here many times. A++++! Tonight was great with easy pick up at the drive thru! Highly recommend Donato’s!

Although I quite enjoy the pizza, I advise you never to order dinners I ordered to spaghetti dinners and was charged $54, it was just ok, at least I got to feel like I was in an exclusive restaurant in Tuscany due to the price! I guess you should only get food from the precooked stuff behind the glass and not order regular dinners that they have to make!
