We have been going to Eli's Pizza for years and dining-in. Last week we went in to order a LARGE pizza and was told no longer have large to eat in. Only small pies. When I asked why, I was told by an attendant it is about the $$$. Didn't make sense. Sorry to say we will not return here.

Has become one of my favorite pizza places. Thin crust brick oven grate ingredients. When in Hamden it's the place to go.

I wanted to go on here and leave a review, since usually theres nothing but negative things people have to say, or complain how everything is so expensive. So i wanted to share my amazing experience from yesterday, I ordered to go online, and was very impressed!! Everything was done exactly how i asked for it to be. i also wanted to say that the meatlovers pizza was absoultely out of this world!! This will definitely be my new pizza place !! and deserves 5 stars!!

I realize many restaurants had to make changes with Covid, but the menu at the branford location is so limited. They got rid of some great dishes. They should go back to the old menu. The drinks are still great & strong.

Pizza was good. I had a slice of the Buffalo chicken pizza and it was really good, but also had a slice of the sausage (red sauce pie) and it was not that good. If you're in the area and want decent pizza with a good price, recommend.

Great spot but you need to expand your menu ! Very limited compared to your competitors in the area.

Was in town from KC. A good friend took me there. Staff and food was amazing! I will definitely be back.

Very Unprofessional! I sent in an online order for pickup. I walk in and tell them “hi I’m picking up for …” the manager proceeds to look me up and down and say “she’s going to have to wait”. Never in my life has this ever happened to me. I am a customer. I’ve already paid and my order is already done. What am I waiting for exactly? Not only that, but the boy in the front was told by that exact same manager that he couldn’t assist me and that he had to manage his own section first. It would’ve taken either him or her two seconds to walk over and grab my food for me. Terrible. All of this just for me to go home and eat some undercooked noodles. Never again will I be spending my hard earned money here.

Extremely rude and disrespectful restaurant staff. If you like to be called a "dumb*ss" in front of other customers & told to "Get the *uck out" by immature overly emotional unprofessional staff then come to this place. Don't bother to call ahead and ask if your pickup order is ready or not. Very rude disrespectful sarcastic staff that take joy & pride treating people/customers with disrespect. I would not spend my hard earned money at this place.

Ordered a pizza for our 25th anniversary and it was delicious. The amount of meat on it was questionable, but with the Biden administration, and Democrat lawmakers' hiking up inflation, their suffocating taxes hikes, food prices that are becoming outrageously expensive, and I would imagine it is getting harder and harder for restaurants to survive. Welcome to Communism! This is what you get when you elect millionaire politicians who became millionaires off of being politicians. They only care about getting richer off of your money and could care less about our suffering finances. Gas prices? Who cares that we have lost half of our money for groceries, it doesn't effect them. This was the last time we'll eat out for dinner, but what does it matter to them?! 25th anniversary and this is the only thing we couldn't even afford to do.

I have ordered pizza from Eli's on Whitney Ave. in Hamden for decades. I've always been satisfied with their authentic "New Haven" style pizza. All that changed tonight. I ordered a large mozzarella with red sauce, peppers, onions, bacon, and sausage. It was ready when I went to pick it up, and I went directly home to serve it to my family. When I opened up the box, I couldn't believe my eyes. The pie looked as if it had been taken out of the oven about five or ten minutes early; the sauce was watery, the crust was just barely cooked (I had ordered it ""golden"), there was almost no sausage, and there was NO bacon at all. My family was hungry, so I didn't take it back (but I did send a letter with a picture). I am usually one of the first to praise service and food when it deserves recognition, but I also feel that the restrauteur deserve to know when and for what reason his clientele are dissatisfied. Based on what I was served tonight, I could not recommend the pizza at Eli's to anyone who enjoys real italian food. I hope for the sake of future patrons that this was an exception and not the rule.
