While travelling to NH we stopped at this place and wow, what lovely food it was.I have been to so many thai restaurants but this was is the best.We are going to come back to this restaurant again when are headed

I had dinner at The Terrace Friday night. Small place with great menu and reasonable prices. I had yellow curry for the first time and asked the owner what is best with it. He suggested fish, and it was great! My girlfriend enjoyed the prawn, cashew and pineapple dish with fried rice. We also liked the calamari appetizer.

small portions, extremely overpriced for the flavors. can go to literally any other thai restaurant in the hamden/new haven area and get tastier food. got a thai tea here and it tasted so off, asked to give it (the waiter/host/chefs son) kindly did so and realized that the tea was sour and had gone back. yikes!

I would never in good will recommend this restaurant to anyone. This is by far the worst thai food i have ever tried in my life. Up till this point i have never had “bad” thai food but this is just god awful. My drunken noodles were literally dry with no sauce... how is there not any sauce on drunken noodles.. that’s literally the whole point. I honestly took 4 bites of the food and had to toss out the rest it was just that terrible. Please if you enjoy thai food never try this place and i promise you won’t regret it. I normally don’t even write reviews but I have to make sure no one else wastes their hard earned money on this food.

This is the only authentic Thai food in this region, and among the very few in the United States. I've only had a few Thai meals comparable to Terrace, and those were either at high-end restaurants in Thailand, or really excellent street food in Bangkok back in the 90s.

We've tried Thai food in many different cities and this is still the best -- only five minutes from our house in New Haven. Fresh, tasty ingredients, expertly prepared. You will not be disappointed! (During the pandemic we got take-out but hope to go back in person very soon.)

As other reviewers have said, if you are looking for your standard Thai takeout and larger portions for the price, then this is not the place for you. But if you want to try authentic Thai flavors, look no further. The Terrace Curry is out of this world! But the owner seriously warned us 3 times - rightfully so - that this dish was spicier than any Thai dish we had ever tried and he was right! Layers and layers of heat as you keep eating and we ordered hot only (not Thai hot). We're Indian so we eat spicy everyday but this dish is deliciously painfully spicy and we loved every bite! We've never had Thai flavors like that before - straight out southern Thailand per the owner. We will be back :)

This place is the reason why we drive from Boston to NYC instead of taking the train. One of the top restaurants I have ever been to, and we love to go out. Do not miss this place. The Pad Thai is so fresh and savory. The soups are divine as are the curries. The Terrace Curry is an experience from another universe for those who dare.
