Bin 228

This is my go-to spot before a night of theater. Bin 228 is a trendy, cozy place with a varied selection of wines. We shared their fontina cheese Fonduta which hit the spot during the cold month of February. Their lamb meatballs were tasty and ample. Service was friendly and helpful.

Always loved Bin228 and associate it with going to Theatreworks for a show next door. Call ahead if you're seeing a performance to get on the list or there's a good chance you'll be waiting for a while or will have to find somewhere else on a show night (unless you can sneak into the small bar) which is great. I went here with a friend during Taste of Hartford week. We made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night and it was perfect timing because a bunch of parties were finishing up dinner before the show across the street. The place is on the smaller end, but there didn't seem to be a wait for groups coming in.
