“A great dining experience, as always! We've eaten at J a half dozen or so times over the years. J is consistently excellent. Whether you're going “classic” with Filet Mignon or being more adventurous with Veal Milanese, you won't be disappointed! My veal was perfectly done, tender, hot, yet crunchy with a wonderfully light arugula side. My partner's Haddock was excellent with perfectly roasted potato wedges. The ambience was lively, busy and a little noisy on this particular evening, Service was efficient and professional. A very nice way to start our evening!“
“Fantastic experience! The staff was attentive, the food was a generous portion and so delicious! The meatballs appetizer was so good and the wood fired pizza really hit the spot. We only spend one weekend a year in Hartford and we all agreed we look forward to returning. Thank you!“
“Had a great experience here, service was good and everyone was very nice and welcoming. Very clean and nice looking inside. Got the Hadzijski Cevapi, which tasted amazing. Portions are large and you will leave full and satisfied. The cevapi literally tasted like my mom's cooking. Instant favorite!Parking: Parking lot behind the building“
“Best pizza, customer service is amazing. The owner is amazing very personable. I’ve been going here for over 13 years and still The only pizza place to brings home to my heart coming from NY!!!! Plus all the other options Are freaking amazing!!!!“
“Solid breakfast joint with fresh ingredients and cooked to order - with the BEST service from a different time and place, where people cared and customers mattered. I will stop by again when I'm passing through town to remind myself how things SHOULD be.“
“I love ordering from here. I don't always have this issue but sometimes the fries are soggy from the steam trapped in the cardboard box so I have to reheat them in my airfryer at home. They're always courteous when I call and promptly deliver the food. I've ordered many different things from there and mostly liked them all. Sometimes I have to get toppings for my salad on the side, like the southwest salad because otherwise the liquid from the Pico will make the tortilla strips wet and I just can't do it lol. But the quality is good for the food and most times make it correctly for the changes I request.“
“As I am writing this review I am crushing the meatball Parm with added onions that I just got from the twisted Italian Café. I called ahead, it was ready fast it tastes amazing, The woman behind the counter was pleasant and attentive I wish I lived closer to come here more often!“
“Incredible! Fabulous Food! Beautiful Setting! Superior Service! Wonderful Wine! Linguine was al dente and luscious with a yummy Crab Sauce! The Chilean Sea Bass was done perfectly and the sauce and accompaniments were just right! The Veal Medallions melted in your mouth and the sauce was sensational. The cappuccino to end the dinner was very creamy and smooth and I loved it!!!! It was perfect meals again at this fine restaurant. We recommend this restaurant highly.“
“Deliscious! Fresh and made to order classic style grinders. Excellent prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. Old-school feel. Highly recommendedVegetarian options: Veggie grinders, eggplant Parmigian etc.Parking: Small lot in front of store.Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is level with parking lot.Dietary restrictions: Build your grinders as you like.“
“Its a small place. Mainly like grab and go. The food is good. The people are very nice and welcoming. Its never a long wait. I go on my lunch break. My favorite things are… The Cheesesteak sandwich, Chicken Caesar salad (Grilled) and Pasta Bolognese. Worth every penny.Parking: Its paid parking on the streets and garbage downtown“
“The food is excellent. The owner really puts love into her handmade dishes. Fresh ingredients make this spot a hidden gem. Try the shrimp rolls and the fried rice. Banging!!! Especially in a late night where all the restaurants are closed she is still cooking. ❤️ They have a juke box that has a good selection of pretty much anything. You can hear anything from Mobb Deep to the Eagles at this bar. Nice space to host a catered gathering as well as a small outdoor patio to enjoy the evening. Super cute spot. The bartenders could use an upgrade, as our order got forgotten for quite some time and there were quite a few forgetful moments but I guess it comes with the ambience. Try em...“
“When I lived in the Hartford area, First and Last was a regular haunt. Now that I live in the South, I find myself jonesing for the First and Last grilled sausage and peppers, served with side of shells in marinara. It rarely gets better than this, even if you find the real Italian sausage; I've been living in Charleston, a foodie paradise, but I have yet to find the real, homemade salsiccia that you get at First and Last, or buy at D&D market, close by. So mangia Hartford, and pray that this place never changes!“
“Went to catch lunch during a conference next door at the conference center and was pleasantly surprised. It was a cool little niche with a modern feel. We were sat quickly, efficiently and the staff was very pleasant! The lobster roll with homemade French fries for $18 was delicious. Not only served to look pretty but the taste was excellent. Great value. The fries are a must! The chicken panini was also great!“
“NY NY holds a place in my heart. Being the first pizzeria my family and I had lunch at when we relocated to CT. Their pizza is always fresh, true oven brick pizza. As a New Yorker, NY NY keeps me from getting homesick when I need a good slice.Their wings are also AMAZING. Perfect crunch with juicy chicken every time. NY NY is our go to in a hectic Friday night.“
“I ordered a Pizza for pick up, and I was told 20 minutes to pickup. I got to the place and my order was not even placed. No ticket. The older lady at the counter asked me to wait. it took another 20 minutes to get my pizza. The food is good, but the service is somewhat poor.“

“We have been going here for years! The quality and consistency is unparalleled. The owner and his fiancée are now trying to keep it going. If you have not been there you should! We have not found another place that even comes close to their quality!“
“I highly recommend Salute. We ended up at Salute after asking for a recommendation from a coworker for a family dinner. As soon as we walked in, they embraced us as family. All the wait staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and the service was quick, but not at all rushed. When the owner, Jimmy, learned we were there celebrating some big things, he truly went out of his way to make us feel special. I can’t thank him enough for all he did for us. It was our first time there, yet he took the time (on a busy night!) to learn our names, ask questions and congratulate us. The evening was complete with incredible food, gotta get yourself the cheesy garlic bread (YUM!!) and all our meals were generous portions and delicious. We all loved our drinks, too! After mentioning our experience to my brother, we learned him, his girlfriend, and her family had a similar experience. This is how they treat everyone.“
