“We live in N.J. and did a little family get away with my Daughter & her Fiance. My Family & I enjoyed our experience @Via Emilia . It was one of the best Italian restaurants we've ever been to, All four of us enjoyed our meals. My husband is writing a more detailed review .”

“Our waiter Randi was one of the most fun and nicest waiters I’ve ever had. She chatted with us a bit while taking our order and let out positive energy. The food was great with good seafood and fabulous wings which we ate while watching march madness. The atmosphere was also great with a seaside vibe a nice bar and pretty lights.”

“I had the Chicken Piccata. It was cooked perfectly & crispy. The sauce was light,but flavorful. Excellent service,in a pristine & clean atmosphere. The cheese cake was light and delicious. “Many restaurants will charge high prices to create an aura of quality and fine dining, only to disappoint when it comes down to eating. Shipwright's Daughter is not that place. The prices are on the high side but wow, do they deliver. Four adults, four very different entrees and everyone left with all smiles. My beef strip loin was cooked perfectly and everything that accompanied it was tasty. Some signature cocktails were discounted for the 5 - 6 pm happy hour and were, again, delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive without overtaking the conversation. If your taste buds deserve a holiday this place is worth a visit.”

“One of the best restaurants in Mystic. Unfortunately after they renovated they got rid of the complementary bread and cornbread, but there food has consistently been fantastic. There service is usually slow though.”

“We can’t say enough about our breakfast. It was delicious! The staff is wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly. Coffee is delicious. Specialty coffees are innovative and amazing. I can tell you the ‘Life on Marzipan’ will make your day ?. We will be back to experience more of their menu!! We also go a “made to order” sourdough donut. INCREDIBLE! A nice chew, fantastic flavor, there was nothing we would change about the meals we had here. Thank you, Nanas!”

“Delicious!! What fun to have the happy team making salads to each of our wishes!! They were as joyful as we were to mix and toss and dress our creations!! The homemade soup also yummy!! “The meats are delicious, the cowboy beans are fine. The sides are why this place doesn't get 5 stars. It all sounded delicious, but the cornbread was tasteless, the mac & cheese lacked salt and flavor, even the brisket chili was boring. Still giving 4 stars for food because the brisket, ribs, pork belly and sausage are delicious.I will go again, but get meat by the lb takeout.”

“Decided on a last minute trip to Mystic for Xmas Eve. Grabbed a reservation at Rio Salado and SO GLAD WE DID! Our food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. Our server, Kevin, was attentive with a positive, upbeat attitude. Can't wait to go back! Rio Saldado is definitely one of our go-to places from now on. Perfect way to celebrate family and good eats!!”

Called to ask about the double charge that I saw on my statement and the manager was very quick to respond and handle the issue!Have been a recurring customer for a while now.
