Everything I had was good, except the burger. That was very good. I had the cheddar jalapeno burger... if you have the jalapeno fried up even better. I took my son with me the last time we were up that way, and he was just asking to go back. He liked their chocolate shake and hamburger. I will definitely be back.
Ok, I used to go here all the time, and times have changed everywhere! Prices are crazy, the service is still great, there are no pickles, onions or relish outside on the table, just katsup and mustard☹️. You have to ask for it at the counter, and you get a little baby sized container. Sometimes it's the small stuff that matters.

Al's, located right off Route 8, is one of the more visible hot dog stands in CT. I've seen Al's mentioned on at least one best CT hot dog list in the past few years. I recently visited for the first time. Al's has some outside seating that doesn't seem like it's been refurbished in some time. I did not have the impression that the inside seating is presently open. Rather, you order at a window and they let you know when it's ready. You can eat outside or get it to go.
