“I never heared about this restaurant. We didn’t have a reservation. In my opinion this restaurant is amazing , food is great , service good , drinks good. We had Passion fruit caphirina , shrimp ceviche , angus burguer , chicken and cheese empanada. Delicious. I love the decor and atmosphere , live music , and the bar looks pretty nice. I think was a little be busy at that time but not bad at all , was Thursday I was surprise. maybe I didn’t like where we were sit or how they set the tables but was not bad at all. Yes I recommend. I had a good time there.“

You walk in, and everyone starts to know your name… The weight staff is always very friendly and often strike up a conversation which I find something special these days. The food options are always great, and there are always a few specials on the list that catch someone’s eye. The draft beer choices are always rotating and changing which is great; often locally sourced. The bar area is always bustling, and offers a free pool table for patrons. There is also a large covered outdoor dining area for fair weather eating.“

“When I rank a space I rely on more than just the food and menu. It's also the energy and environment. The crowd at Burus' is very welcoming to new comers and quick to recommend menu items. The bartender will make you a Mocktail if you ask and describes exactly what the bar has to offer. I can definitely be a regular here if I ever frequent the evening scene. The prices are decent and it's a great spot to hop around if you are out out with friends.“

“I was passing through and stopped to try some of the food. The place was packed with orders. Although there wasn’t a ton of guests eating there I saw them working hard with many to-go orders. Our food took probably 20 min which wasn’t bad. It was very tasty and I loved the Salsa Bar!!! What a great idea and allowed the opportunity to try so many flavors! My only comment would be to lighten up on the cilantro. There was an extreme amount of cilantro on my tacos. One taco has enough cilantro for like 5 tacos worth. I would definitely go back and try more items. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Oh, and the Jamaica juice was ?? perfection“
“Went here to play darts. Nice sports bar. If you're like me, you would've liked to know to wear a sweater! The AC was cranking so I was freezing. Food that my team had was good, drinks reasonable, and staff friendly. Couldn't complain about anything.“
“I heard this place had a pool table, so I came with friends to check it out. They had a pretty standard beer selection in bottles. They actually do have a well serviced pool table! We played several games, and the locals cheered us on. Had a great time over all, would recommend for a dive.“
“I love their Cobb salad!! I ordered it and shrimp asparagus Alfredo, for to go. They both were amazing! But the pasta was like macaroni, was very different pasta from the picture on the menu. That was disappointing as it was pretty pricey but still was great!Inside of the restaurant looked beautiful. I visited this Hamden store first time but when I get on, no worker was there. Another customer who went inside at same time with me stopped at the small counter for a min and so did I. He started to walk inside, so I followed and finally found the main counter. Wish they have a sign on the door.After I ordered, I realized the host go check to kitchen for pickup if it's ready. She told me about 10 min, I asked her after 8 min, she went to check and it was ready. I was pretty rushing, so wish she could know when it's ready without going back to check physically.“
“Everything was good. The food was good. The music on Thursday night was good. The service was good. The only negative comment I have is I tried to reach out to the restaurant prior to my reservation via phone and via IG and was unable to do so. Also, the Happy Hour food changed from what is/was advertised on IG. I was looking forward to the $3 lamb chops. No worries! I plan on going back to the restaurant and will try them again on another night.“
“a true diamond in the rough! i drove by this establishment almost everyday for the last 10+ years and finally stopped in. the owners/bartenders treated me like family from the moment i walked in and the menu is exceptionally reasonably for the quality AND portioning you receive. i cannot say enough good things about my first experience here…i WILL be back soon!“
