As a pizza artist for more than 25 years, this was a dream come true to finally try the famous New Haven Pizza. And it did not disappoint. Waited about an hour for a table, but the service was amazing, the atmosphere was super relaxed, the food unbelievable, oh, and William from the kitchen was GREAT! You'll see why ????
Don't get me started. Modern is where it's at. Not Pepe's, not Sally's. End of story. Do the wait, get yourself a plain pie, definitely get some beer or Foxon Park, and enjoy!

I ordered the 12-in Margarita pizza. The crust and tomato sauce combination was spectacular. The mozzarella cheese also was quite good. I was so pleased with this pizza that I actually ordered a second pizza to take home and when I reheated the second pizza the next day I found it also to be quite enjoyable.I've tried, now, the three major Apizza restaurants in New Haven: Sally's, Frank Pepe's and Modern Apizza.
