“I've had nothing but good interactions with this place. They have my favorite dumplings and also are super accommodating as I get their vegetable fried rice without the sauce due to my diet issues. Really great people and their food is just super good.“
“What? 4 big stars for a Chinese buffet? Impossible. Well, that's four stars relative to the universe of Chinese buffets, which is rapidly diminishing since the pandemic. Ok, the food isn't as great as a stand alone top chef Chinese restaurant. But for what this place is, it's not that bad. The food was mostly fresh not like some buffets that leave food sitting around until it's dried out. The dumplings were actually sumptuous. The sliced beef tender. The white rice very palpable. And for $19 per adult, in post pandemic pricing terms, it's quite a bargain. These days Mc Do costs almost as much for a lot less of everything.“
“I like my General Tso’s chicken cooked softly and they made it to perfection!! I was able to eat each and every piece!! They need to train the cooks at Golden Wok on Colman St because they NEVER got it right so instead of complaining, I went to another Chinese restaurant.“
“Shanghai Garden is a famous Chinese restaurant located in new london. It's known for its traditional Shanghai cuisine, including dishes like xiaolongbao (soup dumplings), Shanghai-style noodles, and braised pork belly. The restaurant often has a bustling atmosphere and is popular among locals and tourists alike for its authentic flavors and experience.“
“Food always arrives piping hot like it's straight out of the kitchen. Ordering and delivering is straightforward, simple, and to the point, saves me a lot of time and energy, and it's a nice price for a quick dinner in the barracks“
“Very delicious dumplings! I got steamed and pan fried ones and they were very well made and full of flavor, their spicy sauce is very delicious and has a wonderful kick to it. Would love to see more support for them as they seem to be a local business!“
“Authentic dimsum and great service all around. My family and I appreciate the owners coming to check on us and the food orders come out pretty quickly. My favorites are the shrimp steamed rice roll, steamed roast pork bun, pineapple bun, chicken feet, scallion pancake and the yang zhou fried rice! When I’m sick, I also like ordering their congee. Comparative to other dim sum places, I enjoy that their dishes are not too oily and sauces aren’t too heavy. Overall, highly recommended!Vegetarian options: Plain steamed rice roll, Chinese broccoli, vegetable fried riceParking: Parking available all around the buildingKid-friendliness: Dim sum family style tables, high chairs available“
“We ordered from this place on New Year’s day, literally because we just moved into a new place near by this Chinese Restaurant and our old place was closed… so we Googled what was near us and tried it. So I ordered online, and called the restaurant to make sure they received the order. The manager had to check but called me back and was very happy and nice over the phone. I am a restaurant worker too, so I left an online note that I’d be tipping $10 in cash and Happy New Year! The driver was super kind and smiley. So far.. so good. Me, my son and my dad are pretty picky about or Chinese and boy did China Express … IMPRESS! We tasted every item of each other’s complimenting the freshness, attention to detail, portion size, ease of ordering and of course the taste was phenomenal. To be honest— the best Chinese food we’ve had in this area. For the cost, and kindness— it was such a great New Years treat. I hope you all enjoy!“
“The food is fresh and delicious. The service is swift and friendly. Deliveries are on time and drivers are polite. My orders have been correct 99% of the time. They always make good on any missing items. I totally trust that I'm getting what I ordered. We have been ordering from NL China Express for 15+ years and this is our go-to Chinese take-out.“
