“I can't complain much, I think overall the food was above average. Better than most chinese take out restaurants! I will be coming back. However, the general tso chicken was very very dry and chewy. I hope they can do better on it next time. Service was good, food reasy on time and all.“
“We sat in and got to enjoy the chips and duck sauce that they gave you while waiting to order food. We had the tea too, which was very good. We started with crab Rangoon, which I wish had a bit more filling, but flavor was delicious, nice balance of the cream cheese and crab, which is more what I look for. I got the triple delight in garlic sauce- shrimp, chicken and beef. My boyfriend got the Szechuan lamb, both were very good but the triple delight came out on a sizzling plate. The sauce was so good and was excellent on the white rice after eating the main dish. The owner and family were very nice and accommodating. I just moved to Newington so I am glad to have found a go to Chinese food place, no wonder they have a large takeout audience! They have a large menu and I can't wait to try more!“
“Cromwell's little best kept secret! Honestly, I have tried about 4 Chinese restaurants in the area, and before that, have always loved Chinese food, making it a weekly choice to enjoy, and last night, was pushed away from my main Chinese restaurant because they had a 45 minute wait, and then found Ming Garden, and all I can say is... that is some GREAT Chinese food!5 STARS!!!!“
“Great service, atmosphere, and most importantly - amazing food! Highly recommend the scallion pancake roll with twice cooked pork, it was so good and our favorite dish. Dan Dan noodles also great. I'll be back to try the bao, the soup dumplings were good but not my favorite.“
“Chef Jiang in Farmington boasts an authentic menu that deviates from the usual Americanized Chinese fare. While I appreciate their commitment to regional Chinese cuisine, my experience fell a bit short of expectations. At first when we arrived they were mopping the floors and the cleaner smell overpowered our senses. We started with an array of dumplings, excited to dive into this cornerstone of Chinese dim sum. The vegetable fried dumplings were undeniably fresh, showcasing crisp wrappers and plump fillings. However, the flavor profile leaned too heavily on the sauce we dipped them in leaving them a bit one-dimensional. The shrimp and sticky rice shumai came across similarly, with the offering a punch of fishiness that overpowered. The highlight of our meal were the dumplings in chili sauce. Each bite burst with a satisfying heat, balanced by the richness of the filling. Again, the freshness of the dumplings shone through, but the flavor could have benefited from additional complexity. The soup dumplings mirrored the above sentiment.Ultimately, while Chef Jiang offers a refreshing departure from the familiar, the execution didn't quite match the ambition. The emphasis on freshness is commendable, but I yearned for more nuanced flavors in the fillings and sauces. We ended up stopping before delving further into the menu, as the portions were generous.Would I recommend Chef Jiang? It depends on your culinary compass. If you're an adventurous diner seeking authentic Chinese flavors, it's worth a try. However, if you crave Americanized Chinese food, you might leave wanting more“

“A MUST. I'm from out of state and every single time I visit I ask to go here. Consistently delicious. My go-to is general tso chicken. Never a 'weird' piece of meat, very crispy and generous portion. We've tried basically every appetizer on the menu, all 10/10. Our favorites are crab Rangoon, and the spring rolls. The cocktails are very tasty, the lemon drop especially. Some drinks are served in fun glasses like a tiki! Service is great, very friendly and attentive. Never have to wait too long but I also like that the food doesn't come out asap too. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will continue coming back!“
“Food was delicious. Soup bowl is huge - best shared with another person.I had the beef tomato and pineapple. It was fantastic.Dietary restrictions: Our friend who was with us is allergic to onions. They left them out of her meal. Her husband's meal had onions and they were very willing to take it back ane replace it so they could share. We asked for no cilantro and were happy with our meal.Parking: It's a storefront restaurant in a shopping plaza with a large parking lot.“
“Decided to stop in and try for the first time and the food was actually delicious and did not taste old like other Chinese take out! The lady in the front is so sweet and welcoming truly made the experience even better she even gifted my daughter a little cake! I would definitely go back.“
“We loved this place! Authentic Chinese food - Stephanie. The Chengdu dumplings and cold rabbit appetizers were fantastic! my son had the crisp pork belly, and I had the sliced smoked duck. Soooooo delicious! Can't wait to bring the hubs here.“
“Exceptional food. Wife used to live down the street so she'd go frequently now we live farther away but whenever in the area prioritize stopping there and getting food. Sonny the owner is one of the nicest most personable people on the planet making the visit there exponentially better. Definitely go here and eat you will love it and want to go back. Sonny don't ever stop being a great person. Thank you.Parking: Tough parking but you'll find a spot and there's side road/behind building spots.Kid-friendliness: Kids items available.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes front accessible.“
“The food at Cheng's Kitchen is very good and fresh. I will and have recommended this restaurant to family and friends. I have also posted a photo of my food many times on my Facebook page. The turnaround time for delivery is very quick. The restaurant is in a convenient location and a nice place to eat.“
“Love love love this Asian restaurant. The orange beef is delightful. We've been twice now & food was fantastic. The owners are very nice & aim to please. The gentleman brought our food out to our car as it was raining. So thoughtful.Vegetarian options: You can substitute tofu for meat which my daughter does. Cooked to perfection.“
“I use to go to this place when I was younger but left area so stopped going, had to check it out and still same owners and one of the best Chinese I have ever had and stay going to them, love them great prices and amazing Chinese food! Oh yea and awesome service too!!!“
“I don't write dessert reviews. I'm not big on desserts. I ordered the creme brulee crepe with raspberries last night. Let me just say....I had a moment. This was one of the best damn desserts I've ever had. Every bite I couldn't believe how good it was. This place is the real deal. I'm still thinking about it next day. I'm a fan.Dietary restrictions: Crepes are gluten free“
“I love Mama Khang. This is my go to this side of the CT River for Vietnamese. Service is a bit slow. But I commend Mama Khang working as hard as she does at her age. For good food, it's worth the extra patience and grace to support this small business.“
“Takeout review:I read that this is not your normal Chinese takeout spot so I had to check it out. They serve authentic Chinese Szechuan cuisine and has locations in West Hartford and Fairfield. I ordered the hot appetizer, Chengdu Dumplings which are steamed pork dumplings with their special garlic sauce; this was sweet, spicy, and in hot chili oil. The flavors were delicious and I should've ordered two of these to make an entree. For my entree, I had the crispy chicken in spicy garlic sauce. Since this was a takeout order, they had the sauce in a separate container so the chicken won't be soggy. Before pouring the sauce over your chicken, make sure to shake it first. The sauce was okay and not that spicy. I probably wouldn't order this again. The next time, I want to try our the Dan Dan noodles, Seven Flavors Wonton, Spicy Cumin Beef, Chong Qing chicken, and many more. The prices were definitely higher than other Chinese spots. Overall, a good Szechuan spot for your non typical Chinese dishes.“
“I can not explain how grateful I am for the gratitude and quality of food that this restaurant has given me. I am so happy that I am to have found this restaurant! I have only ordered now my second time, and I live about 25 minutes away, and I’m being so serious when I say this that my food so hot that I have to let it cool off still!!! Now try to top that where your food comes perfect like this. GREAT PORTIONS TOO!! Trust this review because I’m always honest (it doesn’t really go in my favor sometimes lol) thank you guys for being amazing!!?“
“A coworker recommended me this place for our lunch team day. I ordered for myself and my son to try them first. We are doing our lunch with them. Clean and delicious food. Love the egg roll.12/20 we ended up having company lunch. They all love the food. They did packed and label all food containers.“
“We loved this place! Authentic Chinese food - Stephanie. The Chengdu dumplings and cold rabbit appetizers were fantastic! my son had the crisp pork belly, and I had the sliced smoked duck. Soooooo delicious! Can't wait to bring the hubs here.“
“The BEST takeout Chinese American food in the area! Love coming here, family owned and the owners are so sweet. The crab rangoons are my favorite no other place does them better, so crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, the in-house made dipping sauce is so delicious, definitely will be a regular!“
“Tasty fare with good size portions portions and great service. The Singapore chow mei fun was prepared differently than I have had previously, in a good way. It had a "roasted" flavor that I loved and I will be going back to have the dish again.“
“I’ve been eating from this place for over a year and it’s very good Chinese food. They don’t participate with delivery services and they also don’t deliver. I’m sure they are losing a lot of business by not getting with the times. I go here often and it’s the very best tasting Chinese. I’ve tried so many and the others have all been disappointing.“
“Great This is a family run business with the freshest food! Don't be fooled by the small front. They made my food exactly the way i like it. I dont like the sauces, so he steamed my veggies and out fresh sliced ginger in it too flavor it, just as i love!! Yum!! I don't eat Chinese or a lot but will go out of my way to eat here again!! A+. This is the best!! When i asked for no msg, he said they don't use msg!! They don't need to! Even the rice was delicious and fluffy! Im not a rice person! Love the meal i had tonight and would expect the same next v time since my guess is always the same cook, who did an awesome job!“
“Absolutely delicious.Had no idea they are right next to UPS.Got a simple fried fish with pork fried rice and they subbed the egg roll for a shrimp one no charge! The total was amazing, and tipped them so the total was only $13.00!It was super delicious, I could tell they used real fish instead of typical American nasty fish sticks, and they included a homemade tartar sauce!!! It was really the best fried fish/Chinese takeout I have ever had.I can’t wait to try more next time I drop off a letter or need to do laundry!“
“We actually meant to order from a different restaurant, but didn't realize it on the phone. The manager/owner at Wang Chinese Restaurant was super helpful with our order. Food is available to be made gluten free, but they do it by taking out the soy sauce, not by replacing it with tamari. This is fine for some dishes, a little different for others. Our group really enjoyed the general tsos tofu, and the fried rice and veggie spring rolls. The garlic broccoli (gluten free) was also really good. Wang is likely a place we'll return - and order with the correct menu next time!“
“I’ve been going to the Asian restaurant for many years. Their food is not like a lot of other fast food, Asian restaurants. The food is very fresh and flavorful, not greasy or heavy as some Asian food can be. Being Vegan I order Mapo tofu with hibachi rice. The tofu is so flavorful you can get it mild to spicy.. The portion is big enough for two people to split.Off street parking. Wheelchair accessible. Kid friendly. Inside seating only.Dietary restrictions: When ordering they say to ask if need be for questions regarding dietary restrictions. They can at times make adjustments for gluten intolerance, dairy or no allergies..“
“I can only speak to the food, as we had it delivered but... We hadn't had Chinese food in a while due to having bad luck finding a decent Chinese restaruant. Today we decided we wanted to try again, so I spent about an hour reading the reviews here on yelp (we're new to the area) and after reading about this place and all the positive reviews decided to give it a try. At first I was a little put off that they wouldn't take a debit card over the phone for delivery (only because I had to go to the atm), but i understood. We ordered the boneless spare ribs shrimp fried rice, and jumbo shrimp with scallops with an egg roll and shrimp roll. Everything was amazing, it was everything we were hoping for. We'd had such bad experience in quality in the past that finally getting good/great food made me feel like i too should share because it was yelp that helped me chose this place. Will be going back. hope it helps someone else. Their prices are good, their food is great, just passing it forward as others had for me.“
“A very few and far between authentic asian restaurant here in CT. I have been to Xi'an on multiple occasions and I can truly say the food is AUTHENTIC. Not only is the food great but so is the service. The LiangPi noodles is a well know street food in Xi'an and they have successfully brought it here to my neighborhood. Upon the other dishes I have tried, my personal favorites are the cumin beef noodle, spicy sour lamb dumplings, as well as the pork sauce noodles. I highly recommend this place as this is now my go to food spot!“
