The food was excellent! It is so hard to find a decent sit down Chinese restaurant. They are either take out only OR really fancy and expensive. Here was just right. I got General Tso chicken lunch in and it was delicious. Chicken was crispy and breaded and the sauce was excellent. Price was very reasonable. I do wish that there was a bit of soft music just to break up the silence. Service was also very good. We will be back!
Americanized Chinese food often deserves its reputation. Thankfully like other reviewers, this little local gem doesn't fit the stereotype. It's not greasy. It's good. Tastes quite fresh even the fried rice. Is it the best I've had? Absolutely not. NYC has them beat ten ways to the other side of the planet. But for a local Chinese comfort food joint, it's an example of it done right.

New Wok is the go to place for take out Chinese food in Newtown! My favorite dishes are the sweet and sour chicken (so crispy), fried rice, vegetable lo mein, and spicy beef with broccoli. The staff provides fast and easy service for take out with many tables if you choose to sit down. The food always tastes fresh and hot even after an entire drive home.
