“2024's pizza place of my youth, revisited - tables with benches, old photos on the walls, the guy behind the counter who knows you by sight, and a really good slice of pie. (We didn't have a Vic's next door when I was a kid; that's a bonus.)My husband's a huge fan of their meat lovers. As a vegetarian I prefer a mashed potatoes and pesto, no bacon. Nice size small, too; I've got leftovers from the small I ordered last night. As always, we were both glad we went to Mangia, our favorite pizza place from the moment they opened their doors.I told my husband when we got home that, much as I enjoyed our last date night, which was a restaurant fancier than our usual, there's just something special about getting a New Haven pizza with a glass of PBR.“
“Antonio's was very good! Went for lunch...we all had soup...get this! $3.95. Think you're getting a little cup? NOPE! You get a bowl and it is huge!Penne Carbonara was delicious, also a large portion, shared between 2 people and still, some came home!Chicken Francais was plentiful and came with pasta. Again, large portion and enough to take home for another meal!Bruschetta Appetizer came with 6 thick cut slices of the most wonderful italian bread topped with a perfect blend of tomatoes, garlic, vinegar and whatever else they put in there! Took 1/2 of that home!Overall, very good food, nice atmosphere and friendly, attentive service and the price was most reasonable!!“
“My friends and I had a wonderful evening at the Bar. The food was very good, great variety to choose from but what I loved most of all was the Ladies nite Special. What a great deal. A glass of wine, appetizers, I chose eggplant rollitini, entree, I chose chicken franchise, and a delicious brownie with fudge and whipped cream for dessert. All for $28.99. Great time and so good. Will b going back!“
“We had the New Haven Pizza truck for our daughter’s high school graduation party on July 30th. The whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. Made the deposit to book time/day online and Kelly followed up a few days before with the details. Our 50 guests raved about the pizza! Sadly, we were so busy I forgot to take pictures until the last minute but it was a beautiful display too! These guys were punctual and professional! They have their own wooden tables attached to the truck to set up which is so helpful!! And what better way than to end with Gelato and cappuccinos/espressos! Highly recommend booking the New Haven pizza truck if you’re looking to have your next party catered!! You can’t go wrong. ?“
“First time here. DELICIOUS ! Stopped in real quick to grab a slice and left with half a pie ! They we’re getting ready to close and they heated up 4 huge slices of fresh tomato n spinach and only charged me for 1 slice. Extremely clean, beautiful place and the staff are very kind and friendly. The wood fired pizza was cooked perfectly! Nice thin crust and a perfect char on the undercarriage. If you’re nearby definitely try this place. I’m coming back with my whole family next time. Thank you !! I’d give them 10 stars if I could.“

“Nice little spot, cozy inside and wide variety of food on the menu. The pizza is really good, but it can get expensive the more items you wanna put on it! The soup was fine, wasn't anything special...but the garlic breed with mozzarella was great! And the sauce dip was also great! Something I really liked too is you can order your own liter of soda and just get glasses and share it. Big fan of places that carry foxen park soft drinks too. Service was good, polite staff, and attentive. All around good little pizza spot.“
“Today we hosted a surprise baby shower for our daughter at J. Roos. From the time I booked to the end of our event everything went smoothly and the service was great. Every person I spoke with during the whole process was a delight.The space met our needs and looked great! Our server Johna (sorry if misspelled) was so sweet and on top of everything. She worked hard to make sure everything we needed was met and all our guest all mentioned how polite she was.We chose the brunch buffet option because our daughter enjoys a good brunch and we were not disappointed. The penne ala vodka was delicious! I will definitely consider hosting future events at J. Roos as well as visit at other times to try their other food options.“
“First time trying Abate Pizza, North Haven. I usually drive 25 minutes, to Zuppardi's, Frisco's, Ernie's or Modern. We tried Abate’s twice to be sure it’s consistant, and the bacon. Mushroom/onion, pepperoni, or sausage pizzas were excellent! .“
“We live in town; this is our go-to place for Italian food. Whenever we bring anyone here for dinner, this is where they want to go next time we see them. We really enjoy lunches there, too. Prices are quite reasonable, excellent food, plenty of it, and genuinely welcoming service staff. The garlic knots in the bread basket are a major plus, too.“
“This is my absolute favorite pizza restaurant in the North Haven/East Haven area. The pizza is always fantastic and no matter what pie I order I am always delighted with the exquisiteness of the pizza. I believe their Margherita Pizza is the best one I have ever tasted. The personnel are great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a great pizza experience.“
