“I visited Nashville, TN last year with friends, and have been trying to find a similar spicy chicken sandwich. I stopped by the Tin Peddler in North Stonington after work for takeout and decided to try the "Nashville Chicken", with tangy slaw, pickles, kewpie mayo, and a homemade bun. It was everything I could have imagined in the first bite. Spicy and delicious! The fries were an added bonus. Looking forward to going back with friends to try more items on the menu.”

It was our first trip there for our anniversary referred to by word of mouth and we were not disappointed!!!! The owner worked the floor with his crew, cleared some dishes, and I didn't realize he was the owner until later! “Shunock River Brewery And River Cafe stands out because it is inclusive to everyone- no weird looks that I noticed to me or other segregated groups and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.This place’s hours range from the earliest to latest dinners, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The food is very affordable and if reviewed, I have no doubt that Michelin would give it a “Bib Gourmand” badge. This place is well known for their pizza and for a good reason- pizza is made inside a historic brick column with many ingredients being local.All minors in my family were given delicious cookies upon entry. Not one employee there was even slightly bitter and half the employees were smiling even without guests around. Unique brewery made beer available on tap. Smoking guidelines are unclear and unenforced. Live music occurs twice a week. If you come here consider joining the “mug club” it is a subscription where you have a designated chilled mug that is easy to get to and you can get free beers!Food just as good as environment and all food is made after order.Summary: get your butt up and come here”

“The Red Onion, Now Raina’s Red Onion, was a very memorable experience! My family enjoyed delicious food and A+ service! The staff are amazing, thoughtful, and kind (especially Raina’s mom who waited on us). Everything is made to order and the prices are so reasonable. It’s obvious this business is run with love. “Matches Tavern is one Foxwood's little known gems. Delicious casual fare at reasonable prices in an elegant, dark wood pub style atmosphere. It is actually across the street from the casino in the down stairs of the Golf Club House. Ariana was our server. Friendly and professional. I had the Chicken and Bacons sandwich with Fries for $16.95. Great tasting & well priced. I highly recommend this place.”

“Was in town due to work and didn’t want fast food , so glad I took the time to stop and get take out from here . By far the best sesame chicken I’ve had. I also got a order of the crab Rangoon and was blown away with how good it tasted! Will come back if I’m ever in town again!”

“Subway is subway, it's mediocre food but sometimes that's what I want, this particular subway does always tend to be better than others I've eaten at and when I tend to stop in only on certain days of the week the employees are always welcoming and friendly and always make a well structured sandwich, couldn't ask for more when going into a subway.”

“This is a combined Johnny Pastrami/Nathan's hotdogs. the hotdog was a-ok, and not too expenseive if you bought a pair. The nice guy also had a free/leftover/extra lemon aid that hit the spot. the gas store it is part of had popcorn, which was wrongly, but nicely done (i.e. slihgtly overcooked with slightly too much salt and oil). a nice find, but unexpected.”

“Our waiter Randi was one of the most fun and nicest waiters I’ve ever had. She chatted with us a bit while taking our order and let out positive energy. “Many restaurants will charge high prices to create an aura of quality and fine dining, only to disappoint when it comes down to eating. Shipwright's Daughter is not that place. The prices are on the high side but wow, do they deliver. Four adults, four very different entrees and everyone left with all smiles. My beef strip loin was cooked perfectly and everything that accompanied it was tasty. Some signature cocktails were discounted for the 5 - 6 pm happy hour and were, again, delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive without overtaking the conversation. If your taste buds deserve a holiday this place is worth a visit.”

“Parking across street large lot. Chairs tables front of restaurant before you walk in. Bathroom to right as you walk in. Hostess to left. Get a seat closer to the bar area. Views are magical. Outside another dozen or more tables and a bar. So no need to worry about space. But as the season kicks in make a reservation. Prices are inexpensive for the shore. Food is excellent. Drinks prices reasonable. Good beer choices and mixed drinks.”

“High Hope is my go to place in down town. From the atmosphere, the drink selection, the food, the staff, etc.I send all of my clients, family, and friends to High Hope Tavern.I love the lighting the most. My favorite seat is to sit near the cozy fireplace or we love sitting at the bar. The bartenders are all amazing and friendly.I highly recommend the Roasted Oysters, Devils on Horseback, and the Raw Oysters.. you can never go wrong with their Risotto that they change often or the Tavern Burgers. Their fries are also amazing with the garlic aioli.The live music on Thursdays is always a treat. Shane is very talented.Christine is the sweetest hostess who greets everyone as if they are family.”

“Iced chai tea and hot coffee were the best my wife and I have ever had. We also each got a Thai salad, which is amazing even without the dressing that come with it!! Lastly, the gluten free (and vegan!) chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies were phenomenal! Staff was happy to help with any questions we had about allergens in the food and everything was ready in less than five minutes. The little outside seating area was cute and the location was easy to get to, but far enough away from the noise on the main strip of stores.Dietary restrictions: They have clearly labeled gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian options. Staff also has easy access to a book with all allergy information for all menu items.”

We where there for 1.5 hours. It happened to be happy hour, but the atmosphere was very laid back ,chill.The Pupusas are authentic the drinks are unique and tasty. “Went here on a date with my girlfriend. Kristen and TJ were our servers and so helpful and kind, amazing service and atmosphere! Some of the best food I've ever eaten! It's worth every penny! If you are ever in Mystic, CT, I highly recommend this place with every fiber of my being. I got their grilled salmon special, and it was the best salmon I have ever had. It's so good that if I wasn't so full after having it(which is one of the best signs of good food), I would've gone for seconds. Check this out if you love seafood and even if you don't! ???”

The best burger in town for sure and their sourdough is out of this world delicious. The menu changes often with a few staples so you’re never bored and can always try something new.
