Quality of food is top notch and everything is always fresh and delicious. You'll find the typical dishes found on most Chinese food menus; however, the quality of food is great. I ordered through their website which lists all the menu items, most of which have pictures attached. It is very user friendly, making it easy to navigate, order, and pay all online. The wait time was reasonable and the worker behind the counter was friendly. I ordered the shrimp with mixed vegetable combination which was served with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The portion was generous, and the food tasted fresh and flavorful. The egg roll had a crispy consistency and not oily. If you are craving Chinese food, I would recommend checking out China Garden.“

“Came here for a friends birthday and he was looking for an elevated Chinese restaurant - New Haven’s Taste of China fit the bill. We started off with delicious jasmine tea. We tried and assortment of dumplings but my favorite were the vegetable ones. For our main course we shared the tea smoked duck, the kung pao chicken, and the mongolian beef. Overall they were pretty good but they didn’t wow me. If someone was looking for Chinese in the New Haven area I would throw New Haven’s Taste of China in the mix.“

“I saw this place in East Haven ai was out for a bike ride. I’ve been craving Chinese food and haven’t found my go to spot yet. I ordered shrimp in lobster sauce and tofu with mixed vegetables. Both came with rice, and my total was about $28. There’s enough food for three or four meals. I’d definitely go back! My only complaint is that they don’t deliver to my area, but none of the Chinese places nearby seem to Vegetarian options: They have tofu and brown rice instead of fried rice with egg. I agree with someone else’s review here. The rice is not very good, but the main dishes I had are!“
“Moved back to Wallingford recently and passed this place a bunch so we decided to give it a shot. I really enjoyed the pork lo mein and shrimp lo mein. It has a small amount of spice to it which I liked. I also got the general tsos chicken chef combo with fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken itself which seemed like frozen battered chicken and the sauce really not spicy so it was not that great in my opinion. The rice and egg roll were good though. My gf got the crab Rangoons which she liked. I also like they use plastic Tupperware-like snap on containers so no more soggy cardboard sitting in the fridge and great for other leftovers as well.Parking: There is another restaurant next door and only 6-7 spots.“
“They have apparently either learned to cook since opening or maybe it depends on what you order. The roast pork with snow peas is always excellent, they have decent PFR and lo mein. When they first opened, I ordered several things and they were all bad. Back then the General Tsao's chicken was like sweet and sweet and sour (I haven't tried it again because it was so bad) and they couldn't cook even rice. Still glad to have them in the neighborhood.“

“I literally can’t believe how incredible the food was. This is what casual Chinese used to taste like back in the day. It was as if I was a child tasting boneless spare ribs and crab rangoon for the very first time.. The spare ribs were charred and tender and the rangoon was made with actual crab as opposed to the typical “crab flavored” cream cheese. The pork fried rice was also remarkably flavorful with large cubes of pork and perfectly cooked onion. Those who have complained about the food specifically must be miserable Karens. Sweet and Sour Chicken was obviously fried right before delivery. Hot & crispy. Hunan specials, to die for, General Tso, hot, fresh, and delishious. Boneless spareribs were hot, fresh & tender. Combination plates were great & gave kids two choices & an egg roll. We obviously spent close to 100 dollars, but it was so worth saving up to get it. “My hairdresser only eats from here I tried it about : weeks ago early part of December and was very happy with the food and service, I also was given a calendar for 2024. I believed I had wings before when my hairdresser ordered but not an entire meal. It was enough to eat all at once if I wanted to but I broke it up and taste was still there the next day. Ordered the shrimp and broccoli and nice size shrimp. I was very impressed I am impressed and definitely will recommend to try and I will go back.
