Surprise! Very good standard Americanized Chinese takeout. No this isn't authentic Chinese or high end in any way. It is however high quality well done american junk food. Our pork lo mein was loaded with decent non fatty chunks of pork meat, crunchy vegetables, and had the nice salty greasy taste that you expect without being over done in any of those salty greasy aspects. I might be biased, but I love stopping by whenever I am in town. One of my many noodle dish favorites is the Singapore Mei Fun - make it extra spicy (if you can handle the heat)! The appetizers are also yummy; dumplings, bone-in spare ribs, crab rangoons, and spring rolls to name a few of my faves. The General Tang's chicken is also another crowd pleaser (I've brought this to potluck style dinners before and it goes pretty fast)! Terrific, authentic Chinese food. It's the strip mall takeout style Chinese restaurant. Right off main street in Old Saybrook. And every meal I've had there has been terrific.
