Very good Italian food in Stamford! This is another example of Stamford being one of best food cities in the Westchester/Fairfield county area. Came across this Italian restaurant while visiting Stamford, looking for a fine dining atmosphere with affordable prices, near our hotel. We parked on a side street & braved the cold walk to the restaurant. Upon entering we were blasted with comforted heat & greeted by the seasoned & homely hostess, who sat us immediately. Had lunch with a buddy here recently. Old school place. Spots like this are a dying breed. We started with shrimp, scungilli, and the arugula salad. The shrimp was disappointing, I would not order again. Buddy had the lasagna which he destroyed, huge portion. I had the blacked salmon special which was very good, nice filet. The broccoli rabe was great, lots of garlic. Looking forward to my next visit.
