“The Berkshire Tavern has been providing the best pizza in Torrington for many decades. After not visiting for almost 30 years, I was not dissecting as the food and drinks are high quality and the prices are very affordable. Our server Eve was both friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend.“
“I have been coming here and doing take outs for a very long time - every time is the same quality food regardless of what I order. This is my to go place for a “I don’t want to cook today” kind of day and an every day choice for my kids. My very fav dish is chicken francese, my family’s fav pizza is the meat lovers and any appetizer is a good choice. We just love it there.“
“This is third time ordering from here owner super nice food usually outstanding but ordered a tuna grinder today and was absolutely disgusting it was cooked hot not sure WHy as that's not how it was ordered and was missing toppings ordered but main problem was it was sooo soggy when picked up it just fell apart and was all wet. To owner please please ask going forward if people want their sandwiches hot or assume if they don't mention hot grinder then that means they want it cold!!very disappointing ?!“
“I’ve been going to Marzano’s for many years (since the days when they had the spot behind the old blockbuster (yes THAT many years)). Our latest obsession is the pizza salad (salad pizza). Which is a divine garlic butter smothered pie with a salad of your choice on the side to dump on top. Messy, fun, very unique! Prior to that, our go tos are the Joni and the Arugula (not surprising).“
“A real hole in the wall- don't expect to eat in this location. Take out is good, we always get pizza. There's some good specialty pizza choices, like the house favorite , is OUR favorite. One complaint is they put a bit to much olive oil on the white pizzas though. overall one of the TOP pizza choices for Torrington. Not much more to say than that.“
“The food was decent ( we had cheese ravioli with marinara and chicken frances) but overpriced for what is was. The marinara sauce was a little watery so the ravioli just kind of sat on top of it but it had decent flavor. The salad was fresh and the bread was good too. The waitress was friendly.“
“Great place for running in for pickup on my lunch break, or sitting at a table and having dinner! Food is absolutely delicious! I have never had a bad experience and the owner and his girlfriend are so sweet, personable, and professional!! The other people that work there have been great as well, but specifically the woman that works Tuesdays. Our entire family LOVES getting the combo specials! Great place, highly recommend!!!!!“
“I first visited Sasso's the first week they were open, and you'll still find me here, very often - almost eight years later! The food is delicious, the place is clean and welcoming, and the management and staff are very competent, helpful, friendly, and... simply the best!“
“Overall great food i always get the salads and pasta dishes what i like most is the consistency of the taste everytime i bought from them in 2020 and ordered the chicken piccata yesterday again and it tastes just how I remembered it from all those years agoKid-friendliness: My daughter loves them as much as i do“
“Just ordered a medium size grinder and I wish I had a large. The bread was warm and toasty and NOT SOGGY turkey was amazingly warm and light the cheese was melted to perfection complete with a cheese pull with every bite. Highly recommend, the best grinder I have had in a long time and I would say the best in Torrington PERIOD“
“Family restaurant with great service given what seemed like a hectic atmosphere. They need better management or a better system. Set up like a please be seated but attempted to run as a please wait here to be seated. Open kitchen, very loud and annoying. Upgrades need to be made. I had the baked Sicilian Penne with home made meatballs, tomato sauce, Ricotta cheese, penne, topped with Mozzarella. It was good, I finished it, however, needed more sauce and I'm not a big fan of penne but they have no angel hair. Debbie had the baked mannacotti and finished it too, so she liked it. Only 3 dressings for the dinner salad, blue cheese (yuk), ranch (yuk), and a house oil and vinegar which was not very good, what a waste of the .10 cent dinner salad. Bread was ok, kind of prebuttered but served with no butter, unacceptable. Lots of pizza options, grinders, and appetizers, but that's it. Good heavy trafficked location so they'll stay in business.“
“I only order from here for this kind of cuisine! My husband and I always get a calzone and salad. They are always impeccable, large portion sizes for fair prices, never ever had to have something fixed/or forgotten for delivery. I've been ordering from here for atleast 3 years and always suggest it for my friends. When my dad came up we tried some new things and were pleasantly surprised that their calamari was delicious and crispy, also that their dinners are hefty and of good quality!“
“This place is awesome they have the best boneless wings I’ve ever had anywhere. I am very picky. I don’t like hard things in my chicken. Their pizza is good just small the wraps are very good the garlic knots great the mozzarella sticks are great i didn’t have something I didn’t like except the steak n cheese but I’m picky .. of the grinder bread really fresh too“
“This is our new breakfast place. Love the chipotle maple sauce they put on the sandwiches.Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free itemsParking: You can park on main St but I recommend the back lot. There is an entrance there as well.Wheelchair accessibility: It has a wheel chair access in the front entrance“
