Come for the espresso, stay for the chat with the owner. Make sure you talk to the lovely Maria. She tells it like it is. No sugarcoating. Ask her to tell you about her "grandfather" ?
The most quaint restaurant where you'll find the owner Maria whipping up Italian desserts or a cultural dish. Most importantly there are Italian imported food/cookies. The best cappuccino!

We were traveling through the arena on Hwy 84 at 6 am and wanted coffee. Caffe Italia was the only place open so we drove into Waterbury. Winding our way there we almost decided to turn around and then…there it was. This was like walking into a little Italian neighborhood hangout….with EXCELLENT espresso! At 6 am there was a group of local Italians, reading papers, playing cards and generally sharing the days news. It felt like being at home with family. Great atmosphere!...read full review
