“First time, but it won't be the last. The food was delicious, and the service was great. We showed up without reservations, and the staff was very accommodating. We sat at the bar where Dave and the rest of the staff were very friendly and entertaining, especially with their banter.“

“After much anticipation, my fiancé and I went to Diorio to celebrate our anniversary several months ago! This spot has been high on my list of restaurants to visit ever since they reopened after COVID and remodeling. The interior was so charming, with a classy vintage feel that I absolutely loved. The menu definitely had some good choices, and while everything we ordered was good, we did agree that we’ve had better. Mostly we thought my fiancé’s ribeye could’ve used more seasoning, but the truffle butter that he had with it definitely added to the flavor. The pasta with my chicken parm was a bit cold, so it must’ve been plated before the chicken. One of the highlights for us though was when the waitress came around with a platter to showcase their desserts - it helped us make our decision on the banana banoffee and chocolate cake. The banoffee was excellent, but the chocolate cake was a little dry. Overall, I do think this is a great option to have in downtown Waterbury, and I would still come back to try some other dishes. We came on a weeknight and were impressed to see that it got pretty busy at peak dinner time!“
“Excellent restaurant. The staff is awesome. The food is delicious. The chef went out of his way to make me a dish that was not on the menu. Our waitress Alexis must have told him that I had asked if they served shrimp parmesan. She suggested the shrimp linguini. The chef prepared the dish for me which was very caring, it made me feel so special. I highly recommend Ria's Restaurant in Waterbury, CT.“
“My first visit to the Eatery was a very pleasant experience. My gf and I made reservations same day for Friday night out. We were seated promptly upon arrival in a corner booth which was out of the way and perfect for our date. Or server was attentive and answered all of our questions on the menu. We ordered a martini and Pinot noir with a large meatball appetizer. The drinks were very good and the meatball was amazing. Honestly l could've been our meal for the evening. We ordered a shrimp and scallops scampi and an angel hairAlfredo. We completed the night with a very rich tiramisu. All of our dishes were excellent. Items that stood out for me was the owner's attentiveness to his patrons. He stopped at every table checking up on service and needs. Super friendly that set a nice tone for our dinner. Andrea Boccelli served as background music for our stay. D'Amelio did have a small private lot but it was very tight but there is street parking available. I look forward to our next visit. Good spot for special occasions.“
“We were traveling through the arena on Hwy 84 at 6 am and wanted coffee. Caffe Italia was the only place open so we drove into Waterbury. Winding our way there we almost decided to turn around and then…there it was. This was like walking into a little Italian neighborhood hangout….with EXCELLENT espresso! At 6 am there was a group of local Italians, reading papers, playing cards and generally sharing the days news. It felt like being at home with family. Great atmosphere! Lots of specialty Italian food, cheeses etc. Super nice guy who made our espresso. We would definitely stop in again for more!“
“So Google says I came here a week ago, but that's not true. It's been almost 2 years i last Came here with my husband, who's sinced passed away we used to go here all the time and the food service, an atmosphere was always great. The meatball Grinder was his favorite.“
“Well, this restaurant is good, very good food, very good service, sometimes you have to have a little patience because the food takes a little while, but it is good food, good service, they serve you well, keep it up, they do a very good job. And thank you, your food is very delicious.“
“My kids & I been going to Wooster many years.I first had their pizza when I was 14. Their food is good & plentiful. They have decent prices. They got a huge menu to pick from.I recommend them. Angela, She always asks how the kids are & we exchange pleasantries. All in all, I think they're a great restaurant, & great staff that goes above and beyond to please the customer.“
“Lovely time at this restaurant! They went above and beyond to accommodate my indecisiveness with meals, and they did a half order of one of the pasta dishes for me! Love the paintings all around, and the wine cellar is so cool to see under foot as you are walking in!“
“This was our 1st time at this restaurant but will not be our last! Very unassuming from the outside. Food and service were amazing. Portions are huge!We had the calamari and 2 of the specials - prime pork and stuffed filet with lobster tail. No room for dessert this time. Cocktails were reasonably priced and well crafted. Thanks to Tabitha and Jill for taking care of us!“
“Really enjoyed this family style restaurant. It was a nice cute place with quite a bit of seating area. They brought out our food in courses we got Salads first and then our main course. I tried the lobster ravioli and it was amazing. Service was excellent and very attentive and helpful even when they are pretty busy with takeout orders. Really enjoyed this spot. My lobster ravioli had a great balance of sauce , cheese and lobster.“
“Buffet style office Christmas party. 2023 was our 4 time hosting the event at Verdi's. Plenty of well lit parking. Staff was great. The food; chicken marsala, sirloin, vegetable medley, salmon and salad was okay. Not great and not bad.“
