This is absolutely one of my favourite restaurants in DC and probably the best German restaurant I've ever been to! There are very few German restaurants in the DC/DMV area but I'm glad Café Mozart exists. I've been to this place for years and they never disappoint. It's near McPherson metro station, so it's very convenient for me to just hop on the metro and just come drop by. A true hidden gem. Great German food (even the lamest looking schnitzel sandwich is delicious), German beer, and good German desserts too. Locals who know the area come here. Buy some German candy or snacks on the way out. I come here every couple of weeks to have a Dinner Über Alles experience - highly recommend.
I just really like the vibe this place has.In a way it feels a little out of place for the area - blocks from the White House and around some high-profile restaurants, but very much the feel of a suburban neighborhood go-to tavern.
