Welby Luk

Someone shared a review of how they didn't appreciate how the DJ said their song request was annoying. They forgot to mention how they were making the request with their phone and that is very annoying to every DJ. Also, it's called a "request" meaning the DJ can or cannot play if they choose. As far as I've experienced, every DJ at Death Punch has been on point and plays to the crowd and not the individual (there have been so many terrible song requests). This venue is fun and always vibin. To the other poster...go listen to Grammy winning Olivia Rodrigo in your car if you want. The rest of us will dance to whatever the DJs choose to play.

Today, the DJ told me “that’s really annoying” via Snapchat for requesting Grammy-award winner Olivia Rodrigo. Respectfully, that is so rude. Will be back but am not happy about it.

I went to the place for the holiday experience and grabbed some food. In terms of decoration, it was so beautiful, and the spirit of Christmas is there for sure.I also planned to have a drink afterward, but the service when ordering food was too bad ( so I did not grab a drink at the bar) with no vegan adjustments upon request, so I ordered side dishes that were not that great. The waiter looked like he hated his job and had an attitude, plus they added a 20% service charge. The decoration is beautiful, but I’m not coming back.

I just visited this place this past weekend and it was really cute. When I arrived, I was unaware that they offered reservations, so my friends and I did have to wait in line for about 30 mins which was a bummer but eventually we made it inside. Inside, the decor was very nice and festive. The place was smaller than I thought and definitely gave off a crowded college bar atmosphere than what I initially thought. Upstairs, the bartender who wears glasses, has a beard, and has a very kind personality was my favorite part of the evening. He was superrrrr friendly and made my first visit a memorable one. He also made drinks very well, they weren’t watered down like many other bars. The people who work there are very kind and welcoming I just wish it was a little bit bigger with unreserved seating options.

I liked this place for the Christmas pop up. It was so cute! The drinks were also good and strong. Food could've been better but we still had a good time.

The miracle pop up was amazing! Met friends for an early hh so the place was pretty empty during our reservation. The bartender (Dominic I believe) was fantastic - explained each of the drinks on the menu to us in great detail, & recommended we each try different ones to experience more of the menu. We ended up with a total of four that were all incredible + strong. The decorations were lovely & I was thankful we went early as it was starting to get pretty packed by the time we left!

When we went it was during the Christmas takeover where this company comes in and decorates the place a bunch and has their own menu. The place was packed and the drinks were sickeningly sweet. Good ambience, that’s it.

The worst rum I’ve ever tasted. Bartenders seemed annoyed to be there

Went here for the Miracle Pop Up. The pop up takes place on two floors. The first floor (which is really the second floor of the building) is where most of the seating is, the bar, and restrooms. The floor above that has a pool table and more limited seating. This pop up is such a fun and cute place. It really gets you in the Christmas spirt. To drink, we got the Christmapolitan, Elfing Around #2, Marshmallows & Unicorns, and Koala Cooler. The drinks were good and hit us pretty quickly lol.The Bartenders were also really nice here. We went early afternoon on a Sunday, so I found parking rather easily, which is not the norm for Adams Morgan lol. There's also a nearby pricey parking garage.
