Iconic carry out with terrific Greek food. A downtown DC institution and deservedly so. Spanakopita and lamb are always delicious.One tiny downside: no time to ponder what you want to order — there can be long lines and the owners keep things moving. Take a look at the online menu beforehand.

This place is an institution. The avgolemono age spanakopita alone are enough reason to go, but I've never had anything here that I didn't love. The specials change all the time and are always worth trying. It's a tiny takeout place with a lot of character, and it's done if the best food in DC. ❤️

Missed the Avgolemono for the past 3 years of the pandemia.I tried different Greek restaurants where they make Avgolemono, but they wouldn’t match the thickness and taste from this place.
