Let me start by saying I have been looking for a buttery biscuit since I arrived in D.C. for school from Florida for the past 4 years. And today I stumbled on that and more. Milk & Honey immediately felt like home from the familiar southern greetings to the easy listening music. Though it's more so a carry out the service was still spectacular and the food was phenomenal. Can't wait to come back!
We had a delicious breakfast here. Two of us had egg and cheese biscuit sandwiches, and my daughter had catfish and grits. We placed our order as soon as we arrived, and it did take a while to get our food (about 40 minutes) but we weren't in a hurry and it was worth the wait. The portions were really generous, and the biscuits were incredible: freshly made, buttery, with a touch of sweetness. The shrimp and grits will forever be my GO TO meal here! The grits were so creamy and delish! The Cajun cream sauce was well-seasoned and not salty at all! I chose to dine in today and the wait time was short, about 10-15 min. I always make this stop when I'm in the area.
