Authentic Mexican food, but small portions for the price. Came to taqueria habanero with some friends because we've been looking for good, authentic Mexican food in DC. I was craving tacos, so I opted to visit this establishment for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant was nearly deserted around 2 p.m., allowing me to be seated immediately. I selected a trio of tacos: the pulpo, camaron, and tinga poblana. Each taco was presented on handmade tortillas alongside fresh vegetables. While the pulpo was flavorful, it was slightly salty. I'm a white boy born and raised, now don't get me wrong. But these were the god damn best tacos I've ever had! I guess papa was right, I shouldn't never judge a book by its cover. Highly recommend!
