Update: I received a response from the owner, but quite frankly, it was even more disappointing. They pointed to "corporate standards" on why portions are going down and prices are going up. The same corporate that couldn't care less about "the people". The same corporate that DOES NOT patronize it's establishment. OF COURSE their standards would be to squeeze the consumer! 2.5oz scoops are highway robbery and you know. Be careful of another and better business coming to Middletown.This is why I have such a hard time patronizing this establishment. I'll give 2 stars since they really are good...But they continued to increase prices, while simultaneously decreasing the amount of ice cream given from any given day. The lack of consistency is ANNOYING. Why am I paying premium price for a large, and it's not that much more than the regular??...What happened to respect for the people? Please train properly so that there is more beneficial consistency in portions. There has to be a balance between profit, while still respecting the hard earned money of your customers.

The staff was amazing! My daughter and I stopped on our way from North Carolina to Pennsylvania. We ordered and went to pay realized my card was in my car and then quickly realized I was locked out of my car. The two young ladies that were working we super polite and even brought us water. So grateful because it was HOT out. Amazing service and people!

I love Brusters icecream and when home in VA our family has it every Saturday as a tradition. Due to is being out of town we didn’t have it yesterday and decided to get some today at this Middletown, Delaware location. Customer service was great but sanitation not so much. I was very turned off that the cashier did not wear a glove or clean her hands in between taking payment, using the register, scratching her head, rubbing her hands on her pants. She just grabbed a cone put in the holder, scooped the icecream and was even still touching the cone when handing it to me. Please ensure your employees use proper cleanliness practices and that they are being trained properly. I saw the sign that said they were in training, and that should have been a day one lesson.

Mediocre ice cream at best. We had a family of 3 in front of us and it took 20 minutes to make their ice cream. I also tried to order the cold brew brownie ice cream that there is a 3 foot poster of on the window and I was told they don't have that anymore (which they could have just been out of for the evening so that is understandable.)

Wow, what seriously great ice cream! As "old-fashioned" as it gets. So creamy and rich, I can only surmise that the "old-fashioned folks" were just down right decadent. Because this ice cream certainly is! Next time I go back I'll be ordering a chocolate, banana, marshmallow, malt shake. Yup, though heard that right, all things that I live in a shake! And aside from a place in Yakima WA and a few family run DQs you won't find many folks like Brusters who are milk shake baristas! You need to indulge yourself and try this place out!

This place has the best ever ice cream. My favorite is butter pecan. It's filled with large pecan pieces that are still crunchy slightly salted. There is a very distinct taste of butter. The base is creamy and dense with a pleasing dairy texture as one would expect from a product called ice cream. If you choose it, the waffle cone is crunchy and not too sweet. The serving is large. The serving is somewhat pricey but they have all sorts of discounts and coupons if you use their app. Bruster's is well worth a visit.
