“Honestly, the food review would have been five, but there was 1 issue. I've never had a bad experience, but today, I found hair in the bag with my shrimp toast. Perhaps you all should wear a hair net to prevent hair from falling in food. My egg drop stop was delicious as usual.“
“Prices have went up since Covid so not as much of a deal as it used to be and the dining room could use a redo because it's so small. But I still gave 4 stars because it's still the only Chinese restaurant in Middletown that I will go to. The portions are still a good size and the front counter people are polite. They keep the place clean and the food quality is always great and hot“
“Updated review. As this is the closest Chinese takeout near me, and if I don't feel like cooking, that's my favorite thing to order in, I've been pretty good with their food and service. It's not the best I've ever had but lately it's been pretty decent. They changed their dumplings; the dough is thinner and pinched nicely. I ordered "Fried" but got "Steamed" which was fine with me as I actually prefer steamed but the previous dumplings were so doughy, the steamed weren't great. These dumplings were better by far. The previous dumplings had very thick, chewy dough and I didn't like them at all. These steamed dumplings were basic, but good. The steamed shrimp and broccoli comes with lots of BIG shrimp and very fresh veg. Sauce on the side. If you don't want fried, sauced food this is a healthy choice. (Can get chicken as well.) I actually got four meals out of this, including throwing the extra broccoli into an omelet and giving the dogs a snack too. The prices have gone up but the serving sizes are decent so you can get at least two BIG meals from every entree and I'd say four (2 adults, 2 children) would be fair. Rice has been fresh; they say it's Jasmine rice, it does have a bit of that good aroma. I'm fussy about rice and hate getting dried out, teeny "play rice" when good steamed fresh rice is not that hard to make in rice cookers. For all the Chinese restaurants in our area, it's been consistent for what it is lately. The food seems somewhat improved so I'm comfortable recommending it for baseline standard Chinese-American style takeout.“
“I would have gave 5 stars but the pan seared dumplings were not good (see photo). It was too much dough like it was dipped in a batter. The dough was so thick with a little filling. I will only get them from Potstickers for now on. Everything else tasted good though.“
“This is THE spot to get fine asian food in Middletown. Extremely clean, and an amazing sushi bar. Excellent family run establishment. Closed on tuesdays, but everyone needs a break sometime. The fried rice is off the hook,so are the dumplings. Next up, get the fellas together and hit the sushi bar. Update to follow...“
“I ordered a shrimp lo mein, along with a cheese steak roll & an egg roll. Food was delicious & not greasy at all. Great taste & flavor. Who knew I didn’t have to go to Hong Kong to get good Chinese food. The funny thing is, I did go to Hong Kong ???“
“It was a pleasant surprise for a chain restaurant! The cleanliness of the place, even in the back, showed their dedication to providing a great experience. While the rice lacked flavor, the meat made up for it. The kindness and warm welcome from the staff added a special touch. Overall, it left a positive impression on me.“
“This is a healthy alternative to preparing dinner for the family. It's especially nice when your errands at the surrounding stores, the excellent salon, the pet supply & other surrounding shops occupy your time & you suddenly realize it's dinner time.Vegetarian options: The owners of the restaurant will modify most any recipe to suit your taste or needs.Parking: There's always plenty of free parkingKid-friendliness: This seems to be a family owned business and accommodates any way they can.“
“I was really impressed with the food. So GOOD!!!! The service was a bit rushed but I didn’t care because I really enjoyed my meal and sweet tea! It doesn’t look like much on the outside but trust me go in a get some food you won’t be disappointed.“
“Top places in Delaware for sushi, and great selection also.Couple rolls specifically will get me to go back again, but there was nothing I had I wouldn't eat again or didn't care for. Sushi was prepared well, but also fresh, which is always noticeable at some places when you're getting the raw rolls. For improvementService was a little slow, ran out of drinks every time, had to ask someone else for water after being without anything to drink for close to 10 min.It wasn't very busy, so normally I can look past a little wait, but we were his only table.Asked for Sriracha, wasn't the real stuff, and taste was less then stellar for a knock off. I realize that's being a snob, but imagine asking for coke and getting Pepsi, or more along the point, asking for coke and getting a Sam's club soda without them just stating, "we're out is --- OK?"Again, little things can overlook it for the food, but if you're asking for an honest review, it's what I do.“
