“An outstanding Italian restaurant in downtown Newark. Great menu selection infusing all of your Italian standards that you'd expect and also a decent beer and cocktail offering. We had three couples in our group and the service was quick and everything came out correctly. My only complaint was that our server didn't come back often enough to check on us and so we had to finally flag someone else down to get more drinks and the check.Parking: There is no parking for the restaurant but there are several paid lots nearby. Just don't be late getting back to your car as it's a $35 ticket!“
“Catered a small family party for 20 people on March 3, 2024 and the food, as always was delicious. But I almost made a huge blunder, because I did not remember that Tony's is closed on Sunday. Dhara, the wonderful young woman, who took our order, volunteered to come into work that morning to help us out. I arrived at 11 am and everything was piping hot and ready for us. “Got two Pizzas and wings this evening. First, the pizza was good and really enjoyed it. Great flavor and cooked well. Now, my wife is from Buffalo, NY and as a result, we know wings and we are self-confessed wing snobs. BUT... Big Z breaded wings are killer and made exactly like they should be! Well done! We have our own sauces we prefer, but we'll definitely be ordering a bunch of Big Z wings for Super Bowl next weekend. Really well cooked and prepared the right way! Best locally around here by far.“
“Tonight was our first visit to this location in 7 years. The food was wonderful and our server David was fabulous. If you plan on visiting this location, I would call ahead to make sure David is working and ask for his section. The other servers were not up to par. It was so upsetting to watch other tables wait for service or their food forever. There was a young family who was seated before us that didn’t even get their entrees until we were ready to leave. Their server should have been more attentive to them instead of standing around fanning herself by the kitchen. Service to the other tables was really really bad.“
“I have been going to Mario’s since 2012 and I actually love their pizza and never had a problem until today when this short rude old man had a problem with me ordering one slice of pizza. Well I work over night and I stop on my way to work so I’m going to continue to order my one slice of pizza so all I have to do is walk in pay and leave.“
“The pasta with a cheesy bolognese sauce was delish but pricey for what you get. Chicken Parmesan was a very generous meal. Lava cake was tasty but no lava inside. Service was good except he didn't check on drinks, so I had to wave my glass to get his attention.“
“It’s a really cute tiny sit in area but i absolutely loved it!! The food was reasonably priced and came out relatively quickly. We loved everything we ate and it’s hard to like a pizza places’ sides too but this place offers everything. 10/10 everyone should support small businesses like these <3“
“This place is hands down the best Italian food in the area. There are also items where they thought out of the box like the Caesar salad on pizza ... absolutely amazing! Their garlic rolls are loaded with cheese and garlic and you can tell they serve good food cause they appreciate good food, if that makes sense. Either way, it's a must try!“

“Today was my first time ever coming to this pizzeria. I thought that the cheeseburger was quite pricey but my daughter was craving a cheeseburger. Her birthday is tomorrow so I decided to treat her. Wow, my cheeseburger was delicious. But her greedy dog ate her cheeseburger while I ran to the ATM. SMH ?Parking: There are a few businesses here so parking can be a little challenging.“
