Farmer and the Cow is a little out of the way down Market Street compared to the other downtown eateries, but it's worth the walk. And besides, "out of the way" in Wilmington means an extra block. If you like whiskey, whisky, scotch, bourbon, or other spirits, then this place has your back. If you're not sure if you like whiskey, whisky, scotch, bourbon, or other spirits, the bar staff are exceedingly good at their jobs and will be able to select something for you that will probably end up being a new favorite. I'm slowly getting into trying more and more of these and this bar is among the best stocked I've visited, especially in the area.I have to mention in particular, for all you greater-Chicago transplants new to the area, there is Malort here. Love it or hate it, this is easily the furthest from Chicago I've been able to find Malort on a menu. And they'll give it to you in an honest-to-god, cheap as hell "Citywide Special" (beer and a bump, boilermaker, whatever you want to call it) with that blue-ribbon winning beer too.Food's also great. I like the rotating menu; I appreciate that they'll put malt powder in any shake; they've been on DDD, if you're a Guy Fieri fan; and they also cook burgers to order preference.A true gem in Wilmington.

Good burgers. Our server warned me that the moo caliente burger was pretty hot so I ordered the blue cheese burger and he put the heat on the side. Thank you!! Milk shakes were great too.Parking: Free parking on market Street after 6 pm

I had a great burger

The food was quite good overall. I could tell the quality of the burger meat was high (and not greasy at all). The fries were good. I was disappointed with the milkshakes. The chocolate milkshake wasn’t chocolatey enough and not thick enough at all.The service was great and friendly.Overall I’d give it 4.5 stars. Definitely recommend it if in Wilmington and want a good burger. Maybe pass on the milkshake, depending on how you like them

Tried to get reservations. There were none available for 5pm. We went anyway and it was pretty much empty and were seated right away. We weren't that hungry so we ordered an appetizer and burger to share. We had the Street Corn Nachos and THEY. WERE. AMAZING. I don't know what ingredient it was but something on them was sooooo good. I would go back just for the nachos. My husband picked the Farmer and the Bao burger and I have a little bite but that was definitely not for me. But he loved it. Our waitress was very good she sent out an extra plate so we could share but I only took one bite because I was full from the nachos. If we ever find ourselves in Wilmington again we will definitely be back. Might be sooner than later if I keep thinking about the nachos. By the time we left around 615 it was getting busy so I would plan to go earlier.

Outrageously priced burger but damn are they good. I’m still not sure it’s worth the price but I find my self wanted it again all the same. Oh and the milkshakes are bonkers as well.

Place is amazing for burgers, beer and the sides are great too!I got the moo caliente and was warned about it being extremely spicy but I like the heat. This burger was intense with reapers but awesomely flavored, I may have peeked at nirvana at some point.

I wouldn't come here again unless it was just for the drinks. Menu is interesting at a glance but none of the options we had were edible. My poor husband is to nice to even complain. I think their ideas are nice but execution was terrible. I think the servers are nice but not exactly fast or accommodating. It was just a terrible experience. The food was the worst food ive had in years.

Great burger in a chic setting. Have huge collection of alcohol if you are into that. Burgers were cooked to liking and the price is on point.

I've been wanting to go here for a while and we finally went with friends to celebrate a birthday. The service was excellent! I had the Peach, Please cocktail on the waitress' recommendation and it was delicious. I had the pulled pork sandwich with regular tots....soooooo good. I can't wait to go back.

The sweet tots are worth the upgrade. My burger was a little overcooked but the flavor was amazing so it didn’t even matter.

The place is an awesome hang out, with an excellent liquor selection. Unfortunately, their burgers just aren’t the same anymore. They’re always over cooked. I come by often for the scotch selection, and I used to always get a burger. But I think I’ll just stop in for a bar trip from now on.
