Wow i was not expecting to be blown away by how delicious this food was. I love Indian food like love it. I have one fave restaurant that’s all the way in philly BUT so far out of any I’ve tried in DE this one is the one. I always go for chicken tikka masala anywhere i go to see if it compares to my fave spot and philly and this restaurant is the only so far that compares. I was thoroughly impressed. The flavors, the quality, the good portions, and the authentic taste. They have gained a new customer today i will definitely be back soon. Must make my way through that menu. Just fyi they are take out only!! Closed on Mondays!! Highly recommend for take out!

Drove from downtown to get some food as they said they were open online and was looking for a new place to try. I get there and the sign says open for carry out only till 2:30 (it was 12:30pm when I arrived) but the door was locked. I tried calling, they answered, and I asked if they were doing take out orders and they said they are closed and won’t open till 5 for dinner. Why even answer and post sign then? Waste of time driving and will take my business elsewhere.

Yesterday night, Ordered chef specialty combination dinner for two..In vegetable Korma there is an insect(roach) inside of it. When I called them, they were discussing themselves briefly and they said no one has ever complained like this before and offered me free food next time. When i went through the reviews, I found someone had already complained on roaches. POOR SERVICE.

We are foodies who are well traveled to loads of Indian restaurants (having grown up just outside Little India in Edison, NJ!). This. food. is. phenomenal!!!! The portions are large, every item is SO incredibly delicious, and so reasonably priced. We don't live that close to Star of India, but we make a point of getting takeout (they are takeout only still) whenever we have the time because it's just that good - and that's not easy for us to say when it comes to good, better, and best Indian food!!! This place is easily in the top 2 for us in Delaware.

Absolutely outstanding food, great portions and really good price. First time having Indian food. Everything was so flavorful full of herbs and spice. The garlic Naan is also a must with all of this food. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
