“I try my hardest to eat at private, locally owned businesses. This experience is exactly what I was looking for. The patrons and the staff were all very nice and welcoming. There were plenty of option to satisfy me and I was served quickly. The food seemed like a home cooked meal and I felt like a welcome guest. I had chili with a fired ham and cheese sandwich.”

“Rabbit for Easter!? And those hot cross buns, woo hoo hoo doot, doot, dooo! lol. I give them something like a five for nice elevated dining with delicious fancy foods and impressive, exemplary hospitality on a level you don't see often enough anymore, in a beautifully curated arty modern space. I don't mind throwing good money down on food and an experience worthy of it and 1921 delivered, mostly. Was looking forward to the deviled duck eggs as shown on the online "example" menu but they didn't have them on the day. Shoot. And while I realize this is supposed to be an experience, we waited well over an hour for our mains to come out, long after starters and cocktails ran out, and I was about done, restless, and feeling full. So, whatever was special with the mains was sort of lost; at least on me. Our bill was also messed up, they double charged us, and took even more time still, to fix.”

“My family owns a mobile detailing buisness in Lake County (Daddy & Daughter Detailing) and we have eaten here for the past two days (New customers). We dealt with Carlen and Kim!! The customer service at this place is tied with the taste and quality of the delicious food!! It's extremely clean and a has a great atmosphere! This is a buisness my wife and 3 kids will continue to support!! Thank you. The employees here represent the owners and the buisness extremely well!!”

“5 Stars all the way around. This is a fantastic location for a great lunch with friends. The atmosphere is very quaint, charming, relaxing, comfortable...I could go on. I am so glad a mutual friend recommended it to us.Our server explained that everything is made from fresh from scratch and that the chef has been with them for over 20 years.I started with a nice craft beer and a bowl of the Irish Whiskey Onion soup. The soup was very good although I used my knife to cut through some of the cheese and fried onions. My bride ordered a sangria and a mushroom burger. The savory chicken sandwich with fries was ordered by two of us and the Philly sandwich with fries was ordered as well.All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we had no room for dessert. While our meal for two cost over $80, it is a bit on the pricey side if you decide to have 2 beers, a sangria, soup and 2 sandwiches. But it was worth it!This is a great place to dine. We dined on the main floor but you should check out the bar and lounge upstairs as well. Or outside. Just loved The Goblin!”

“Absolutely amazing food, and wonderful atmosphere. My husband and I came in and got the smothered pork chops and chicken tenders, and an assortment of sides. The collards, yams, and potato salad stole the show, and the pork was so tender, and the perfect consistency. The gravy was savory, and perfectly seasoned. The lemonade and tea was phenomenal as well, and a perfect balance from the salty, savory meats. I wish I had saved room for dessert!! Cannot wait to come back, and i highly recommend everyone come try.”

“The 3C’s Mac and cheese was delicious! As someone who tries it everywhere I can (it’s my favorite food), I was blown away by the uniqueness and flavor of the dish. The server did forget our apps, but was very honest and polite about it, so no big deal. Everyone loved their food!The atmosphere was good, and there’s a nice view of the water out the patio windows. Cool decoration inside, as the restaurant is water ski themed.Dietary restrictions: Handled a nut allergy just fine.”

“Such friendly and welcoming atmosphere! Also they'll edit sandwiches to meet any of your preferences. I got the Dante's Delight and the focaccia was so soft and pillowy. It was perfect!! Highly recommend checking this place out.”

“03/16/2024. First time here. The most unique wine tasting I've ever experienced. Been to hundreds of winery's. Tastings range from $10 to $50. This Tasting is FREE. Tastes are much smaller but you follow a line, a staff member gives pours a small amount in your mini cup with a description of the wine. Most here are sweeter. The grapes in Florida don't lend themselves to dryer more bold wines. Here the dryer wines appear to be blended with California grapes. The wines are ok. Big, very nice place. Huge gift shop and nice bar upstairs with variety of food available. The best part of this place is with nice weather bring your lawn chairs for live music from a very large outdoor stage. It was gourgous today. We had our chairs and listened to Dale New. Excellent. Lots of food available to purchase outside too as well as other drinks and ice cream. Will definitely return.”

“Not your cookie cutter corporate watered down donut selection. Boston creme filled donuts were superb. All other assorted donuts were fresh and delicious. The line was out the door when I arrived, but it moved quickly and efficiently. A well oiled business, and worth the short wait to get the goodies.Parking: I parked a block away on the street north of the business.”

“I was truly shocked by how EXCELLENT the food here was.We pulled up to the boat dock and, from the outside, it looks like a typical waterfront food shack.However, the food is truly incredible. Our server was super nice and never felt overbearing, but made sure we were well taken care of.I ordered the fish and chips and the fish was cooked well and the breading was great. I got fried vegetables (zucchini, peppers, squash, and capers) with were grilled to perfection. Then the fries. I ordered garlic Parmesan fries as a side and they were some of the best fries I’ve ever had. Slathered in a garlicky sauce and topped with melted parmesan. I couldn’t get enough! I was dipping them in their tartar sauce (I usually don’t like tartar sauce, but this one was very mayo-y and had some mustard in it and it was really good) and I couldn’t get enough.All-in-all, don’t sleep on this place. The outside may look like a typical drive, but the food is in a league of its own.”

“I've had plenty of Asian cuisine, and Tokyo Teriyaki gets 5 stars from me. Delicious food, great prices for portion-sizes, along with attentive and caring service. They have a nice selection of ramen, yakisoba, udon, as well as sushi. Their tempura cheesecake is awesome. The Boba tea is wonderful as well, and tastes "fresh" (some Boba tea Yates artificial, the tea here tastes authentic). There isn't anything negative I can say about this restaurant, give it a try if you haven't already. “What a cute coffee shop! For those who know me my favorite Disney Movie is 20000 Leagues Under the Sea, and they are steampunk and aquatic themed! I love all the little touches of the early 1900s and was pleasantly surprised by the interactive parts (you'll have to go to find out what they are ;) )Hillary (the owner) was so kind and welcoming and happy to show me around the shop :) I got the Irishman latte and shamrock cake pop - both which were excellent!I highly recommend taking a day to explore Tavares and grab a coffee here as you explore around!”
