We were looking for outdoor dining which they offer, as well as a dog friendly area. With so many interesting options my daughter and I ordered a variety of items to share. We started with ceviche and she crab soup which were both good. For our main course we got the grouper platter with potato salad and rice, and we added a side order of crab claws. We had so much I ended up taking most of my half home with a to go order of soup for my dinner. After lunch we wandered across the street to look at the boats and take pictures.

First of all our table was sticky. Overall the restaurant is dated and run down.I ordered the grouper dish and it was served with a broken hollandaise sauce. For 28$ rhe dish did not measure up. It looked like slop. The fish tacos were awful. The best items were the coconut rice and French fries. Service was great but based on food, I'm not sure how this place has such high ratings. We were not impressed.

What the heck happened? We go here every time on Clearwater Beach for grouper but it’s like they fried a bunch ahead of time and then reheated??? I got a grouper platter but my husband said his original fried sandwich tasted the same. Damn… I hate that we can’t trust Saltwater anymore :( Soup was still good though. Bummed about the fried grouper though.

This time, our experience started very badly with the Dock Master. Screamed and yelled at my Dad, told us we couldn't dock, then tried to ban us for life. We were the only and/or first boat of the day. After the manager came down to access the situation, we went into the restaurant. I M mentioning this because this was a preplanned lunch on our boating trip, and other boating patrons had issues as well. You have to be a local to know about the dock. We were NOT spring breakers in a rented boat.I only have great things to say about the food at all Frenchy locations and will still rave about the Shecrab soup.As for the atmosphere, the table was not clean when we were seated, and the homeless person smoking in front of our table and chatting us up didn't add anything to our meal.

We sat at the bar with our kiddos (the restaurant was packed and those seats had no wait) the bar tender was the sweetest. She held a conversation our kids and really made them feel welcome. The drinks and food were absolutely on point. Seafood was so fresh. Even with it being busy our food was out fairly quickly. The prices are actually reasonable. $63 for all 4 of us. That’s hard to find in this area. Highly recommend!

I went to Frenchy’s with my family and it was really good. The food there was amazing and was fresh, the place is really nice and has a beach boardwalk vibe, and the service is good. Definitely when you go to clear water go try this place out.
I have been to Clearwater three times and this was my first time here. I loved it! It should be rated much higher than some of the other places nearby that are overrated. We ordered the crab fries, gator nuggets, Caesar with grouper and fish tacos. My son said the tacos were bland but he added some salt and was happy. Server was busy but very friendly. Highly recommend!!
