This was our first time at Lilly's on the Lake. Full disclosure, we'd heard from others in the past the food wasn't that great, but we met Chef Shawn around town and he invited us to come by and check it out -- we weren't disappointed.We arrived by boat and pulled up onto the sand beach (be sure to have an anchor for both bow and stern*). Ok, This is landmark place to visit, but not for the food. The bar is great BTW. The food isn't that good. Appetizers are fine, but the location is beautiful. You can sit on the deck with friends while watching your kids swim in a designated safe area at the beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset off the water. We've been here twice now, and the food has been pretty good, the water view is nice, and the staff have always been attentive and personable. It can get a little busy here, especially on the weekends. I would recommend that you want to have a good experience here, you will need to put your patience hat on. When it gets crazy busy service can be a little slow, but it's clear that everyone is hustling and seems to be doing their best.
