They really used to be better. Honestly. We like the location in Milton, FL much better, but even there, service and quality has suffered. We wanted an off-site catered meal for thirty people, on July 30th, and called DCH, Crestview on April 30th to get quotes, options, and available dates. The store manager stated that the district manager had to arrange all catering. Now, that was like pulling teeth. I made five calls just to get a courtesy of a reply from the district manager. My brother also called twice and emailed the store multiple times. The store would not give us the dm's contact information and became very rude whenever we called. Sixteen days later, I got a phone call where we went over the details. The manager promised a quote that evening. Thirteen days passed before I got a quote by email, but it was not for what he and I had discussed, however the emailed quote closed with the banal “…if you have any changes, let me know and I will respond by end of day.” I immediately replied to the manager's email and got no response by end of day. What did he do? Send the email and run away? Since he had called on his mobile device, I had his wireless number, so I texted. On June 8, I finally received a quote, which I immediately responded with approval and added a line item, wanting an updated quote. In addition to the line item, I asked when I could sign a contract and make a deposit payment. I sent subsequent emails, texts, and made phone calls, but I heard nothing else from the manager for seven weeks and one day (despite repeated emails) until July 28th, which was two days prior to the scheduled event.) The email proclaimed that they were all ready for our event and included a request for payment. I responded immediately stating that his company treated us to seven weeks plus one day of silence, despite repeated requests to confirm the line-item change, see the new quote reflecting the additional food, sign a contract, confirm pick-up time, and make payment arrangements. Therefore, DCH had forced us to make other arrangements. I never received an email response. I suppose it will eventually come, so I will give it time.

We sent a comment to the owners of this location the day after our dining experience 8/14/22. We had been regular customers before now and had a bad dining experience on my wife's b-day 8/14/22. Long wait with few people in line and greasy food. We were told their new operations mgr would be contacting us, but NOT! We will no longer support this restaurant and need others to know they do not care about good food and service any more! Will not go back! [email protected]

HORRIBLE doesn't begin to describe our food. The shrimp was cooked so hard there was no taste. Shrimp and grits were so nasty we hardly ate any of it. This restaurant has continued to go downhill. This location has so much potential, but for some reason mgmt either doesn't see it or doesn't care. The parking lot used to be full and you had to wait to get in. Not so anymore. We will not return and recommend Stewby's, Emerald Isle, or - for the best crab claws in town - Samuel's.

This is normally a great place to eat, but tonight was a really poor experience. Our waitress was being run all over the place and extremely apologetic, but at the end of the meal, we had spent 2 hours in the restaurant, 40 minutes spent waiting to be seated because there weren’t enough servers to seat the 10 empty tables, missing items from every plate, and we were told the cook was a teenager who was running the kitchen alone. Not to mention - two pieces of grilled catfish came out with zero color or flavor and the kitchen’s response was “that’s how it is if you don’t get Cajun or lemon pepper.”We spoke with the manager to make her aware, but didn’t demand anything for free. Even so, two of the three meals were supposed to be comped, but the ticket was still $41.59 for a $24.99 platter and a sweet tea, and we were the only ones at the table that didn’t get an itemized receipt. Our server was still tipped on the full cost of all three meals, but there are some serious issues here with training and scheduling.

The waitresses are great and they just changed their menu.I ordered the catfish and shrimp family meal with 2 sides and hushpuppies. The hushpuppies were good, I didn't care for the breading on the fish but I ate it, it was okay, the fries were good, the shrimp was the best they were fantastic but just didn't have enough. The restaurant itself was clean and had plenty of objects/decorations to make really good conversation. The side of greens weren't good at all, tasted like canned greens with half cooked bacon added.Outside of the greens, the restaurant was decent. Plenty of parking. I would go back.

Don't go here. Food took 45 minutes to get food in an empty restaurant. Fish was ice cold and had to put hamburger together myself.

Service from Teri was Excellent!! She is friendly, sympathetic and did everything in her power to make sure we were happy. However, even a server can't control everything. I bring my mother here (79 yr old) because she LOVES the gumbo .... until today. As she was stirring her soup she realized there was nothing in it but rice, no okra, no sausage, no shrimp. We asked Teri if the correct item was served, she said yes. After a short conversation she informed us that it was being made a different way but would go back, check and bring another bowl. She brought another dish and said she had scooped from the bottom hoping this was better. Disappointing as it was nothing changed. All my mother had was a rice stew with no flavor. Teri did not charge us for the TWO bowls as they were not eaten and apologized over and over again. Obviously it was not her fault and it is a shame that you had an item that was really great and changed it. In addition you lost 2 customers. Please please bring back the original Gumbo or hire someone who knows how to make it. We don't like Rice Stew with a hint of Cajun spice.

We ordered take out for Father's Day today since my mom and dad are homebound. Well, David's Catfish House, you didn't fail to disappoint. This is my shrimp and grits (BUCKET) order of which is a small handful of FRIED shrimp, not sauteed, and about 3-4 cups of grits for $13.99. In addition, your stuffed crab is only 1 for $3.99 which is ridiculous. I ordered from the lunch menu for the combo baskets but apparently we were charged from the dinner menu so our bill was almost $20 higher. This place has been a disappointment the past few times we've gone. In fact we stopped going. It would not have been my choice but my dad wanted fried fish.

Totally unremarkable food and wholly inadequate service.------------------I decided to give David's Catfish House another chance after having been thoroughly disappointed several months earlier. If anything, it was worse than before.Their "signature" coleslaw was hideous and the catfish ... and the catfish - namesake entree of the restaurant - was nothing I'd ever go out of my way for again. The only thing more offputting than the food was the service ... or the lack of same. It seemed I was more a burden to be dealt with than a guest.

EVERYTHING was cold, the rice was raw, the bill was embarrassing for such poor microwave grade food, if you decide David's TV dinner house be my guest, what a waste of valuable property and such a disappointment. Kitchen needs an upgrade. Management was no where to be found, while waiting an hour for ice cold meals we couldn't help but notice the amount of to-go-orders that where more important than dine in customers, what a way to represent the city Crestview ?

The food was delicious but this was the third time we didn't get all our food. The catfish dinner was to come with hush puppies, it didn't (3rd time). The pork chop dinner was suppose to come with Texas toast, it didn't (3rd time). I have to drive 8 miles to pick this us so after the first time we didn't get all our food we made sure to tell the person who took the order to make sure everything was there. But they didn't. So maybe this will help you to train the staff to insure the orders or complete before going out. Thanks

We ate a late lunch and I had shrimp and fish in garlic butter. It was seasoned perfectly. I also had a bowl of gumbo soup with rice. It was very tasty. We went to the Crestview, Florida restaurant. Try it if you get the chance. Behind McDonald's on Highway 85 by the Winn Dixie and by the high school.

Really good food. We had three full catfish, baked beans, french fries, cheese grits and fried shrimp. Everything was perfect. The shrimp was really good and it was not over breaded, same as the catfish. The place is very clean and staff is friendly. The I lynthing I noticed was the pictures where you sit in the booth need to be wiped down but other than that it's a perfect place to eat.

Loved the food! The young lady who waited on us was so efficient. In fact, she was working as cashier, hostess, table cleaner and waitress. Little blond!! Thanks again for your great service.
