“Sweet breads for $1.50 each, this place speaks my love language. 2 doors down from Danny's tacos & ice cream. Latin flavors in DeLeon Springs. May the culture outlive the conqueror every time ✊?”
“Service is a little slow. Food is mixed. I had the traditional breakfast with potatoes and sausage. The sausage was good, the potatoes were not. Daughter had the waffle. It as ok. The orange juice was really hood. The coffee was not good. I had the caramel latte and it tasted very weak and watery.”
“They have these blueberry biscuits that will knock your socks of. Food is yummy too. It's a gas station/convenience store,so you get it all in one place lol.”
“Friendly service, great tasting food, and reasonable prices. The name kinda hides the fact that it is not only a wonderful ice cream spot, but also a sit down Mexican restaurant with tasty food.”
“We had a wonderful dinner last night. We ordered the Hummus with Pita Bread (which was still warm) as our appetizer, my mom ordered the Falafel Sandwich all-the-way, my friend ordered the Gyro Sandwich, and I ordered a Falafel Sandwich (tomato & hummus only). Everything was wonderful. The server was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.”
“My friend and I stopped by here on a whim and we're both so glad we did. We both ordered a Latin bowl and it was amazing! The bathrooms were impeccably clean and they have a nice atmosphere. Definitely will be returning.”
“I fell in love with frozen custard almost 10 years ago and I get SO excited when I find a custard (instead of an ice cream) shop! I’ve gone to whits more times than I’d like to admit over the last year since I moved back to the area and I always leave happy. I got my birthday cake here this year and it was a massive hit! (vanilla custard, raspberry sauce, chocolate shavings/drizzle, husband added the gummy worms as a surprise ?) 10/10 recommend whits!Parking: There is a large free parking lot directly behind whits”
“The food is nothing short of great. The service is not individually personable but nothing negative. The likely language barrier found with the authenticity tends to come off as unfriendly at times. A mom-and-pops/Food Truck vibe is here...and I'm here for it. My favorite is the Al Pastor tacos!”
“Holy cats we love cafe da vinci!!! We drive all the way out from Ocala to hit this place up. They get some really great music acts up in here and absolutely recommend! This is an inside/outside venue with an outside stage, a little area with pool table plenty of dance room, a big outside bar with awesome very professional bartenders, another smaller outside bar, an inside bar and more pool tables inside. Great atmosphere, kind of a road house. When i try to describe it to people we know, i imagine its like a south american roadhouse for like american expats, like in bolivia or something. Theres some kind of food thing on the outside of the venue and a patio area with tables and chairs. Ive looked at the food and it sounds delicious and priced right but unfortunately i havent sampled any. Lots of nearby free well lit parking.Management, if you read this, get some margarita machines up in there.”
“I usually brew my coffee at home, so I had to try out the pour over coffee at this place in DeLand. Coffee is really good! I also tried the cold brew which is also really good. The staff looks pretty bored with their job though, but as long as they know how to make coffee, I'm good. Worth a visit for all coffee lovers.Edited a year later: changed from 4 to 5 stars. The customer service is way better now than last year when I was in DeLand.”
“I've always loved the ice cream at Swwet Spot. They make it themselves, along with the sauces and whipped cream. Tonight, though, I decided to try something new. I had their new Sundae "The Olio". Oh my goodness! It was soooo good. It was a perfect blend of sweet and salty with vanilla bean ice cream, olive oil, wild honey and whipped cream topped with salt. YUMMMM! YOU'VE GOT TO TRY IT!”
“This is a charming restaurant downstairs you can sit outside. The food is really good and it's a great place to have meetings or have your group out for some kind of an award banquet. It's set up excellent. They have a good choice of foods all kinds of things you can order from breakfast to hamburgers to steaks, and there's Muriel's painted all downstairs on the walls quite charming”
“Cute little spot. I recommend making a reservation as it is a small space. Service was good as well as the food. I got a veggie pasta with zucchini noodles and my friend and I split a pizza. My friend also got salmon and we enjoyed everything. I would go back.”
“I had the fire ramen and my boyfriend and I shared an indie roll and some spring rolls. He also had some albacore nigiri. Everything was delicious, and the service was great!”
“Absolutely amazing experience from the chips & salsa to the Burrito Mexicano and everything in between!! And the prices are extremely reasonable!! Not many places I can go and eat for under $20 and be completely full when I walk out!!! 5 stars across the board!!!”
“I rent an office upstairs from Wrap It Up. I could smell the roast beef cooking all morning. I went in lunchtime and ordered a Philly Cheesestak. OMG! It was WONDERFUL!”
“This is where I eat when in DeLand. Ribs, pork chops, meatloaf are all excellent. Prices are reasonable especially considering the portions. People there are friendly and welcoming. Do yourself a favor and eat here. You will not regret it.”
“Delicious food, good price, nice plates size, humble place great people!!Parking: Parking in front of store a bit small, but there is free City parking near the location.”
“Wander Bar bartended our wedding reception and it was perfection! Communication from start to finish was spot on and everything was executed perfectly. The drinks were made so well and all my guests commented on how great the drinks/service was! Would absolutely recommend Amber and her team.”
“Locally owned and operated by a lovely couple!! Food is next level!! Amazing bar inside hotel next door for before and after dinner cocktails!! Just what I needed!!”
“Amazing! You wouldn't know by looking at the outside. The pizza was incredible. We had the shrimp scampi and it was perfect. The restaurant is clean and very chic. Recommended!”
“My wife and I are newbies in Deland from South Florida. Deland has so many unique gems. Manzano's is definitely one of them. Their menu of sandwiches is A+. I always here the same thing OMG are they good, wish they were open longer but boy is it worth running over there. My biggest surprise from them is their Cuban sandwich. I am Cuban from South Florida and I can tell you someone in the Manzano family has to be related because this sandwich is so good. Thank you guys for helping not miss the 305 too much.”
“We went last night for the spaghetti that they have occasionally on Wednesdays. They were unfortunately out but we got a bit and a chicken caesar salad. Both of us were very happy with our food and service!”
“This was our first time here. We started with the queso and refried beans appetizer along with the complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were terrific, homemade, and the salsa had a perfect amount of heat. We enjoyed the house margaritas during happy hour, obviously homemade and tasty. The queso with homemade pico and beans was delicious, a creative dish. My husband had the chicken chimichanga and I ordered the three birria taco dinner. The chimi was stuffed with the freshest of ingredients and my tacos overflowing with birria beef and cheese nestled in house made tortillas. I'm not lying when I say the side rice was the best I've ever had in any Mexican restaurant, bar none. The service was spot on, she was attentive and helpful, guiding us expertly through the menu. We sat at a high top four top near the bar. I'd only say they could have music playing with some lower lighting but either of these took away from our meal experience .Pierson has a diamond in this restaurant and we highly recommend it.”
“Old school family feel and great pizza! Closest thing to real Bronx Pizza I've had locally, they're consistent and have great deals. The chocolate chip cookie slap too when the munchies ”
“Food and service was amazing . One of the last true mom and pop , all homemade restaurants you'll find . If your in the area check it out . Get there early it's busy !”
“My review: Chica’s Cuban Cafe never disappoints. This has become our families go to place. Not only is the food delicious, it’s fresh, full of flavor, and well served. The restaurants atmosphere is welcoming, and the servers are extremely friendly. My husband and I always order the Cuban Americano, with the veggie omelette and a cappuccino. My kids love their mango shake and empanadas de carne with a side of fries. We also ask for the Havana hot sauce to go with the our breakfast. It goes to go with everything!I’m not the best photographer. My pictures don’t do it justice. Also, my son had already dived into the fries.”
“This restaurant was off the beaten path. It's a small 10 table inside five or six tables outside. The food was outstanding. I had the strawberry brie burger with onion rings, and my partner had the long John cheesesteak with the sweet potato fries. We ended with ate butterscotch crème brûlée. Taking home, the black cherry forest cake will give a review on that later if you are ever in Deland this is a great place to try.”
“This store is like stepping back in time. It’s a delightful old time sweets shop. They have hundreds of varieties of pre- packaged as well as in house made candies. They also sell hand dipped ice cream. This store will thrill children and adults of all ages. Good luck getting out without buying anything!Kid-friendliness: The shop staff patiently helped small children who couldn’t make a candy choice. Great service!”
“The staff who took my call were very friendly knowing that we came from another state, very good food, delicious quesabirrias.Vegetarian options: I ordered a veggie cake and it was very good.”
