“Wow. What a wonderful find. Definitely worth seeking out. We shared a number of apps: meatball parm, caprese, mozzarella toast, and calamari. All were VERY good! From the homemade meatball to the fresh tomato in the caprese, and the calamari so lightly breaded, seasoned with pepper and grated parmesan, and just touched by the fryer. And the marinara sauce was delightful. Perfect consistency with no separation and balanced flavors to let the tomato shine through. We loved it.“
“Service was spectacular. The pizza was delicious. We are huge fans of Nonas Slice in Safety Harbor so the bar was set very very high. We were absolutely blown away and not disappointed and now have another favorite pizza place. Our waitress in spite of being super busy was very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. Our glasses never went empty and food came out promptly.“
“I've lived in Tampa for the past 25 years and have been in the Dunedin area so many times since moving down from Long Island NY, but didn't know about this place until recently. The original Umberto's is in New Hyde Park, Long Island NY, which is 10 minutes from where I grew up. One of the brothers moved to Dunedin back in the early 70's and opened this restaurant. The current owners since 1986 told me that they use the same recipes for pizza and most other dishes.Anyway.... my wife and I go over that way frequently and often get pizza to bring back home. Need to heat up some slices at the house, but it's still some of the best pizza I've found in the Tampa Bay area since moving here. Excellent ratio of sauce and cheese with high quality ingredients. So many places say NY style pizza, but the owners are not even from the NY Tri-state area and probably have never even tasted real NY pizza. They usually put so much cheese that it's like chewing bubble gum until your jaw hurts. Real NY pizza is thiner and lighter on the sauce and cheese. You gotta be able to do "The Fold".Tried the Sicilian today and it was outstanding! I highly recommend this place. Be sure to check it out if you're in the area. You'll be glad ya did.“
“We've avoided Jet's for the past fifteen years we've lived here. And we're literally down the street from them. We never went there even after our neighbors had recommended them. Shame on us! We always thought it was just another fast-food pizza joint. Boy were we wrong!Last week we broke down and ordered what they call a "Detroit" style pizza; it's a thick crust rectangular style pizza, what Italians would call Sicilian style. We love pizza that's well done on both sides and super crispy rather than the limp kind where the cheese falls off when you pick up a slice. This was the CRISPIEST pizza ever.We are truly sorry, mea maxima culpa for being late to our Jet's baptism. But now where here to stay. We're Jet's converts.“
“Definitely turning into one of my favorite to place for pizza. Consistent and reliable every time and reasonably priced. Having a vegetarian option a big plus.Vegetarian options: Hungry Howie offers both a pizza and a sandwich for vegetarian consumer that is actually good.“
“Has been a Dunedin staple for many years. The owner and her daughter are great ladies and make good quality pizza. The service is not always the best as it's usually just one person or two and they're very busy. I'm not putting the service down because well it's never slow in there so patience is key. Great place and one of the top pizza places in Dunedin. I prefer this over Madison Avenue or Tony's.“
“A very nice casual restaurant. Good food with very reasonable prices. Excellent service! Lots of items to choose from. For those of you who can remember this is the old Rodgers BBQ restaurant. A nice change from chain restaurants. Recommend Yes!Parking: Plenty of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Concrete ramps to keep you from having to step over the curb.“
“I went to your establishment with a good friend, he's vegan, pizza fantastic. Nachos were good. Only thing is ( layer all the ingredients) don't just put the ingredients on the top.Vegetarian options: Pizza, great, same with nachos, see above.“
