The service was horrible. My sister and her friend was in town and I wanted to meet them for dinner and they chose this restaurant. We were seated, received water, chips,& salsa all within 3 minutes. Then after that nothing. We waited for over 30 minutes with zero service from a waiter. I saw other people get seated and served enjoying appetizers happily while we still haven’t been seen. I hate to throw the color card but we were the only African Americans with no white or Hispanic person accompanying us. Other waiters just kept walking around us like we were an empty table. It was very embarrassing and disappointing while trying to entertain my sister and her friend. IF YOU’RE BLACK GO HERE IN LARGE GROUPS JUST TO PISS THEM OFF! Everyone spends the same money and should be treated with respect. Go to El Vez they are awesome!!!!!

My friend raved about their Taco Tuesday specials so we came here to celebrate his birthday.Sitting outside with the ocean view is wonderful.On Tuesday nights they have set up outside a taco station with the choice of chicken, beef and pork. Then you can pile on top as many toppings as you want ,they include pineapple, onions, cilantro, jalapenos, guacamole, salsa, pickled onions, cheese and more.All for $5 a taco .They also have set up outside a Margarita bar which is also $5 a drink and they have spicy margaritas and regular, salt on the room or not.The tacos are good and the portions are generous. Margaritas definitely had some tequila in them.They do offer their full menu as well if you don't want tacos.The service is okay.They will validate your parking for the valet, $10 if you eat there.Parking: If you eat at the restaurant they will validate the ticket and you pay just $10 for valet parking

Food is great! On Tuesday you can custom build your tacos and margs buffet style. Meat and toppings are plentiful and flavorful and drinks taste homemade. Staff is great but table service can be a little slow so plan to hang. No problem though because of the open air and ocean view. We love it will return Tuesday after Tuesday for sure & hopefully see the same faces working :)

I recently ordered takeout from Lona Cocina Tequileria.The Mexican chopped salad was absolutely delightful. It was fresh, flavorful, and packed with delicious ingredients that made every bite a pleasure. The combination of textures and flavors was spot on, and I appreciated the generous portion size.As for the chicken quesadilla, while I found it to be slightly smaller than expected, the taste was phenomenal. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, and the cheese was perfectly melted. Despite being a bit salty for my personal preference.Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Lona Cocina Tequileria. The food was delicious, and I could tell that care and attention went into preparing each dish.

Arrived to a nonchalant welcome. Once I was seated, the guy who had been previously sweeping the floor came over and brought my chips, "salsa" and water. When I asked for an english-speaking waiter, it took another 15 minutes before someone came over. By this time, I had already been awaiting service for 20 minutes.The waiter (short, older, hispanic gentleman) came over and looked quite bothered. He stood in front of my table and just looked at me. I then had to ask if they offered sparkling water, what kind, and what other drinks (coctails) they offered. The waiter never offered any selection suggestions on drinks/food. I then placed my order and awaited my entrée arrival.A young lady brought out my order, which was missing one of the items I ordered on the side. It took my waiter over 15 minutes to come back and ask me how everything was. When I told him I was missing one of the items ordered, he stared at me as if to say, "How dare you request us bring out what you previously ordered!" By the time the side ordered item came out, I no longer cared to eat it and was ready to pay my bill and leave.The white sangria I ordered was mediocre, and the Mahi tacos (baha) were just ok. However, the shrimp tacos were tasteless and cold. The shrimp tasted extra soft. This was my first time eating here, and after reading their reviews, I expected way more. The atmosphere was not welcoming at all. I felt very out of place and unwelcome. It's definitely a first and a last!

When it comes to higher end Mexican food, in view of the beach, this is your place! I wouldn’t call it “Mexican comfort food.” (Ie. You want a greasy chimichanga or enchilada overstuffed with cheese.) If that’s what you’re looking for, check out Rocco’s Tacos or El Camino on Las Olas - but you’ll sacrifice the view). Rather, this is more elegant & modern. It’s connected to a Westin hotel. You can valet. But you can often park on the street meters behind the hotel. There’s a Starbucks connected to the hotel for coffee after dinner.

Great food and experience. We ordered the crab meat guacamole which was a solid starter. The avocado margarita was different but worked. For dinner we ordered the 20 tacos and it was fantastic. The carne were by far the best but the rest: carnitas, chicken and fish were all good as well.

My family and I visited Lona Restaurant at 2 pm, looking forward to a quiet meal together. Upon arrival, we were informed about the ongoing bottomless brunch until 3 pm. Being pregnant and with a toddler in tow, I specifically mentioned our preference for the regular menu. The staff at the entrance assured us this would be accommodated.However, the service quickly went downhill from there. We were escorted to a high top table that had not been cleaned. After requesting for it to be cleaned, we found ourselves seated but neglected - no silverware, no water glasses, nothing. It was only after another request that these basic necessities were brought to us.When it came time to order, our waitress, Linda, presented us with the brunch menu. Despite earlier assurances, she informed us that we couldn’t order from the regular menu and had to choose from a more limited selection. We reluctantly ordered two steak tacos and a chicken quesadilla, all of which arrived dripping in grease and oil - a far cry from appetizing.Throughout our meal, Linda’s attention was elsewhere. She never checked in on us, and requests for simple condiments had to be repeated. When it was time to leave, we found ourselves having to chase her down for the check.This experience was not only disappointing but also left us feeling disregarded as customers. The lack of cleanliness, poor service, and subpar food quality have ensured that this was our first and last visit to Lona Restaurant.
