All the food is absolutely wonderful! Our server Myrissa was so attentive and helped us understand some things on the menu that we had questions about which was so helpful to our experience! Definitely will be here again.

I went here for my birthday & got not only the best seat in the restaurant, which was in front of a well kept saltwater aquarium but also got a birthday fried icecream on the house special. The food was very beautifully presented but delicious as well!

Best sushi in Gainesville! Ichiban has a huge sushi menu with something for everyone. They have good drinks too. Can not wait to return here!

Food is incredible. Some of the best sushi we have ever had. Staff is awesome!

Terrible service, my server had an attitude, and he was working with black painted finger nails. Within 3 minutes of walking in and joining my group I was meeting at this restaurant my server wanted my order. Was told they were out of all curry and coconut milk. This was an ingredient that 1/2 there menu required. I asked if he could take my order when he got back with our drinks ( since I was needing to change it) he popped an attitude and was like I “ already brought drinks to this table”. I literally ate the worst tasting food, got sick with food poisoning and dizzy from the high levels of MSG. I just won’t be going back. No to mention the most awkward meal ever. Everyone at our table of 8 was having issues and complaints about the food they were served. Come on Ichiban! I used to think you had the best food in Gainesville.

Everything was delicious. Our sushi was excellently prepared. We had several apps, and they were all yummy. The agedashi tofu was really good - perfectly crisped on the outside. Our waiter, Tony, was super! Right on time with everything, unobtrusive, but on top of keeping drinks filled and plates cleared. We really appreciated him!

Amazing food and service, all around a great experience.A message to the chef, the summer Vietnamese rolls are usually served with fish oil sauce with chili flakes and garlic (can add more but that is the core). The sweet sauce was good by itself but I did not think it matched the rolls well. The food was still amazing, my partner and I loved it and we are absolutely coming back for more.

I went with a friend who lives in that town. She had suggested it. Neither of us have sushi. We did, however, have Japanese food which was more than enough for one meal. I ended up taking home enough food make a brand-new meal at home.

Sake was Hot $ Delicious. Sushi was Scrumptious. Service was prompt & courteous.

Ordered the yakisoba and they give you a sizeable portion. It was enough to last for dinner and lunch the next day. Tasted very good, as was the onion soup.
