Mark’s Prime is an excellent example of a restaurant that does everything right! It all starts with the staff. As you’d hope, the staff is extremely attentive and always willing to either accommodate or make suggestions in regards to the menu. The cocktails were also especially good! My Gin&Tonic was one of the best I’ve ever had! Now, getting down to the food… I’m sure you’ve had some good steak in your life, but Mark’s just elevates it a bit. Like a true steakhouse, the meat is served on its own and you can order any accompaniments on their own. However, the true hero of the meal will always be the meat. My Delmonico cut was perfectly cooked on the inside and the outside had all the flavorful juices that keeps your mouth going! Then moving to dessert… you bet I got dessert after that 16 oz steak! We decided to go for the trifecta which gave you a small taste of their top desserts. I was blown away by their chocolate dish AND their bread pudding. Absolutely amazing. I may have been a skeptic before, but Mark’s really does hit the nail square on the head.
We started by splitting the crab cakes appetizer. They were better than most. For entrees, I had the bone-in ribeye. My friend had the lamb chops. Both were excellent. We opted for the Lyonaise potatoes as a side, which were fine. And we split the creme brûlée, which was adequate, but certainly not exceptional. The service provided by Kayleigh was outstanding, as was the supporting staff.
A huge thank you to Mark and Connor who made my first time visit, amazing! the food was beyond delicious.. i enjoyed every piece and made sure i savored every second, I FELL INLOVE! Shout out to the chef!! Mark was super attentive and explanatory towards the specials of the night and the menu overall. Connor was super sweet and as well, very attentive. Both Mark & Connor went above and beyond with their service. This was the perfect spot for a birthday dinner or any type of dinner, really. The scenery is just perfect and the jazz music playing throughout the restaurant was perfect and just felt so good to be there. Everyone is so amazing and the hostess was also very kind! We came a little late, I called to let them know, and she adjusted everything for our reservation! I wish I got her name, but, super nice young lady. I can’t wait to come back!
Dropping off our daughter at UF Connor was very thorough and knowledgeable. Highly recommend him.
We had a fabulous meal and our server, Kaylee, was helpful, friendly, and overall excellent.
Overall, food was good, though pricier than comparable steakhouses. Escargot and Wellington appetizers were very good, as was the wedge salad. The onion soup was bland, watery with little onion flavor and the cheese on top was not melted, nor browned. It was disappointing. Steaks were terrific and perfectly cooked. Best value we had was the crabcakes. They were really good and well worth the $18. Creme brûlée was ok. Biggest miss were the cappuccinos. We ordered 3 and all 3 came as steamed milk with some cinnamon on top. They forgot the espresso. The excuse was that there was something wrong with the machine so we were not offered replacements.
I love the scenery, the waiter was very helpful with recommendations. Definitely will be looking forward to returning again. The Old Fashion is amazing. Great place!!!
Steaks were good. Sides were good as well. Prices were on the high side for the quality but probably best steaks in the area. My delmonico was great. Girlfriend’s son’s fillet was just ok. Girlfriend’s Strip was medium instead of medium rare. Bread and drinks delivery super slow but server (Conner) was great.
Food, service from waitstaff was excellent. However general manager Ben was less than helpful. We asked about large group and Advance reservations and we’re shot down immediately by Ben. Saying how understaffed they are, that they couldn’t reserve the private room because they had to use it to turn tables fast. Wow. They use to cater to large groups. Inexplicable.
First time and rest assured it will be on my list of top repeats. Great sever Scott and the from proper greetings, presentation and quality of food it's all 5 stars ?
Been eating there for over a year now and love their wine selections. Steaks are perfectly cooked for me. The bar menu - available only from 5-7 pm - has a Chef's special, which is delightfully good. The bartenders and staff are polite, cordial and knowledgeable.
The service was phenomenal and the food was wonderfully prepared. We had a great time!
We ended up waiting over an hour for our dinner order. When the food came out the surf and turf special was completely cold, and we had to return it to be heated. The manager was kind enough to resolve this issue quickly and waive our cocktail drinks and appetizer for the long wait. Our waitress Kailee Tackman provided superb customer service and food and drink recommendations.
The Food was delicious very tasty, the potions was large, the steak was Tender! the food has great taste the server was very helpful!
