I didn't want to go. Don't listen to me about THAT!!!I wanted to end the day of Christmas shopping early. I didn't want to try a cafe in a plaza. My kid insisted. I ad wrong. And as usual, he was right! This neighborhood spot reminds me of the diners we used to flock to as kids ~ but upgraded. First of all, the place is absolutely spotless, the first thing you notice as you enter. And the smell! Delicious and enticing! Our lunches were fresh and well-prepared. The breading on my fish was crunchy, for example. Nothing revelatory or life-changing, but our lunch seemed wholesome, was certainly delicious, and we paid about the same as we would have at a MacDonald's. Really good black beans, too. We camped at the campground and came in for some coffee in the morning. The restaurant is only open for lunch and dinner. They open 11 AM, but they do serve coffee in the morning. Overall, my experience was good. I was just very grateful to get a cup of coffee.
