“I live in Kendyl. And I cum a lot towards Homestead. I see this place all the time off of chrome Avenue and I never stopped until today. Me and my daughter had an amazing time there the milkshakes are so good. We will highly recommend it to our families enjoy it.“
“Stop right here!! Don't go anywhere else in the area. When we walked into the restaurant, we were amazed at the beautiful ambience, welcoming hosts - multiple of them, that made us feel as if we were welcome family members. Then... the food... the drinks... the smiles from every single person who served us both at the bar and dining room. The musician who played the saxophone added to the already perfect dining experience. Even the chairs were the most comfortable we have sat in. Now, back to the food - absolutely delicious, fresh, great portions and did I say absolutely delicious?? We even went here twice during our short visit to Homestead. Please don't pass this place up but keep this just between us. Sometimes when you find a great thing you don't want everyone knowing... it's just our secret....ssshhh...“
“Visiting from out of state and saw Shivers highly recommended on the "Let's Eat, Southern Florida " Facebook page. Definitely did not disappoint! Food and service were amazing!! Betty, our waitress, was awesome!!! We will absolutely visit again if we are in the area!“
“been eating there for years. well established, great friendly atmosphere, great service, indoor outdoor dining, live key board music on Friday nights, home made meals, great delicious huge desserts. relaxed homestead gem, free parking, love the kitties in the garden terrace“
“We had my daughter’s Bridal Shower at the Tea Room yesterday and it was perfect. The staff and management were great before and during the shower. They work well with accommodating guests and are very attentive with refilling drinks and with the food orders. The food and desserts are DELICIOUS .. you gotta try the Lobster BLT wrap, YUMMMMM!! I highly recommend the Tea Room.“
“I really enjoyed Lolys as it’s becoming increasingly rare to find these little mom and pop diners. I liked the mid century style bar stools at the counter. Staff was prompt and courteous and the cook knows his way around the breakfast grill. I had the country fried steak and eggs with homestyle potatoes.I would of like if the plate came with toast tho if for anything to sop up all that eggesy, gravy goodness. Will be back for sure.“
“Royal Palm Grill is a most excellent old time, authentic diner! From the chrome stools at the counter, to the booze with the wooden tables to the eclectic staff with the greatest hospitality service… Super excellentI had an omelette and some grits with coffee… All hot and perfectly cooked. The grits were super hot and super smooth and just delicious. The coffee kept coming and Brandi made me feel like a regular… And this place is built on regulars! They have some specials… But the menu choices are good. If you like old Timey authentic, this is a place for you.“
“I was excited to go to the Everglades Gator Grill on the way to the actual Everglades. It's been a minute since I've reviewed a diner (something I say a lot now, living on the west coast... there are so many fewer diners). Anyway, I found the Everglades Gator Grill since it was right on the way to the Everglades. Not just that, but the Everglades Gator Grill serves actual alligator. I didn't know you could eat alligator until then, so naturally, we had to go. Is it actually a diner? That is subjective, but it's a small roadside stop with plenty of fun options. Atmosphere: The Everglades Gator Grill is located on the side of the road. It's a small building with 5X as much outdoor seating as inside. Most of the outdoor seating consists of picnic tables. Inside, you order your food, then go sit down. There are a few places to sit indoors, but not many. The music was loud outdoors the way we came, and it was hard to hear over it. Other than that, it's a cute roadside stop. There are fun alligator decorations everywhere. Unlike many diners, the Everglades Gator Grill opens at 11 am. So, no breakfast, although I don't know how an alligator omelet would taste. In all, the atmosphere reminds me of a beachy area, because it essentially is. Bright fun colors, plenty of outdoor seating, and a small inside area. Food: Since the Everglades Gator Grill is known for serving alligator, that's what I had to get, right? A few of the Everglades Gator Grill menu items that caught my eye: Gator basket: grilled gator with fries and coleslaw Gator tacos: with coleslaw and cilantro cream sauce Gator stir fry: with steamed rice and plantains The Everglades Gator Grill also serves many non-alligator things if that is your vibe. They have fried clam strips, frog legs, but also some more normal things like burgers, chicken tenders, and salads. So, if you want to try this roadside stop and don't necessarily want alligator, you do have plenty of options. Plus, it's not far from Homestead if you're around there for whatever reason. I decided to go with the gator basket. I had no idea how alligator would taste! It is fairly tough meat, maybe the toughest I've had. It tastes like a tough chicken. Since I have nothing to compare the gator basket to, I will say it tasted good, and I would order it again. The french fries were well seasoned, and all in all, I enjoyed my meal. One of the most unique diner meals I've ever had! I would love to try alligator cooked a different way to see how tough the meat really is. Cost: For my Gator Basket, it was just $15, which seems like a steal at this point. I rarely have diner meals on the west coast that are under $20. Sometimes I miss East Coast diners and their pricing. Service: Our food came out quickly, and the staff was super friendly. I have no complaints. Would I Come Back? I really enjoyed the Everglades Gator Grill, and it's a great stop if you're in Homestead or going to the Everglades. I would definitely go back and try more gator items. If you've never tried alligator, it's tough, but the gator at the Everglades Gator Grill tasted good, and I would order there again. If you're looking for more fun around the Everglades, consider going to the fruit stand: Robert is Here. They have fruit and fun for the whole family. It's not "just a fruit stand" but a whole establishment with barn animal encounters.“
“homestead landmark. great breakfast did take about 40 minutes to get it. parking is free. the shopping center was filthy , was dirty feet Mark's on walls, Grimmy sidewalks full of gum and bear cans , people walking around drinking beer near store front at 10am sunday. no real breakfast specials or omelet of the day.“
“I was honestly blown away by the cleanliness and quality of the food at this location. After a long day of traveling we sat at the bar and were pleasantly greeted by Art. His service was fast and efficient all while making sure we weren't rushed. Just what we needed. Brussel sprouts are the best I've ever had. The shrimp and sirloin combo was AMAZING!Also loved that I had the option of two sizes for my Blue Moon.We will make it a point to stop in at this location anytime we are traveling through.“
“Best wings in Dade. True to the statement on the menu, they're full sized, meaty wings not wings that look like they came out of a fun size pack. Great sauces - beer bbq and garlic are my favorites here. The rest of the menu is good too - awesome mozz. sticks, fish fingers and dip. This place is a staple.“
“We visited Amistad Grill this morning for breakfast. Very friendly staff. We were greeted and seated promptly. Started with a delicious cup of espresso. Very good and creamy. I went with the Steak and Eggs Skillet. Delicious and filling. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend!“
