“Went here for the first time on Sunday for brunch with a friend. We had made reservations online and were seated right away upon arrival. Our server was incredibly nice and went over the menu and specials in detail, explaining that they work with other local businesses and their food is always made fresh. We had a chocolate chip cherry bread to start and it was DELICIOUS! Both of us enjoyed our main entrees and drinks. “Love the food here and now love it even more thanks to the manager Brittany! I had an order for pick up that my husband picked up and didn’t check the order before leaving. Well he gets home and I’m missing half my order and one item I did receive was completely not what I ordered. I called and talked to Brittany the manager she said I can come pick up the correct order. Well I told her I didn’t live close by and she offered to drop it off to me when she got off work. I told her that was not necessary and it was so sweet of her considering she said she lives in Orange park and I on the Northside. It just the perfect amount of seasoning and charred just the way I like it. Seated New Bedford scallops - can I just say these were some of the best scallops I've ever had? So fresh, so moist and tender, perfectly seared on one side with flavors locked in each bite The grits were creamy and the broth presented with a nice flavorful. Collard greens were cut like I prefer them to be, not too big that it slivers down and makes you choke and not too small that it makes you feel like you're eating shredded veggies. There is no claw game and my kids saw one in the photos for the place. Silly I know, however if you have kids it's everything. Also probably a huge moneymaker so investing in one would be good because kids make you return for this type of thing 2. Don't put diced green onion on a kids pizza as garnish. My daughter loved it once we picked it off, but most kids are picky and if they want extras they'll ask for it 3. The buck game didn't work, even with dollars so again, I think this would probably be a decent way to make additional money so make sure the games work as my kids likely would have spent half my wallet I'm only giving suggestions because I really liked this place, our waitress was friendly and very attentive. The price is not bad for what you get, $8.99 for the sandwich and side. I had mine delivered and I didn't have to wait forever to get it. I highly recommend Metro Diner on Roosevelt Blvd.“

The cod was seasoned wonderfully with just a hint of salt. The squash/zucchini veggies and the red potatoes were a wonderful accompaniment to the cod. Our server, Derek, was clearly into his work.
