“One of my favorite hot pot places ever - HIGHLY recommended. Their food is amazing, with a rotating conveyor belt-type offering of sides. Full buffet bar with meats and various items and seasonings. Excellent dessert with amazing ice cream! I love it here!“
“Went there for my first time today, my best friend has been recommending me to come here. Everything was phenomenal, authentic chinese cuisine is very hard to find around the area and they nailed it!Mapo tofu, xiaolongbao, pork buns was really good. The cucumber salad was unexpectedly so good with the peanut. The service was really good as well! Will be returning. Thank you for the amazing experience ❤️❤️“
“We've been in Jacksonville for over 2 years and this is the FIRST Chinese food restaurant we think is worth ordering from again. It was about :20 from our home and that was almost a deal breaker. I'm so glad we tried it! We shared a hot and sour soup, which was full of chicken breast, tofu and flavor. We both ordered different chicken entrees. They were both made with chicken breast and a variety of vegetables - delicious! Spring rolls were good, as well. There are a few tables, but I would choose to always get it to go. I meant to take photos, but we ended up just diving into the food. We will definitely be back!“
“This is the only chinese restaurant I will go to. They serve beef with oyster sauce- a childhood favorite of mine that I cant seem to find anywhere else. The food is always good no matter what you get and the service is awesome too. The owner is lovely and takes the time to remember you! 10/10“
“We had an amazing experience at Blue Bamboo! Our waitress was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable and the food was delicious! There were lots of vegan/vegetarian options. We ordered the veggie spring rolls, general tso’s cauliflower, dragon whiskers, and veggie jai tofu. Everything was fantastic and came out right on time.“
“After trying multiple Chinese restaurants I have finally found the perfect mainstream restaurant. They are always consistently serving great dishes. Clean and friendly. Wonderful customer service. Now, being a regular, they know us by name. After 6 years of experience, we have finally found our go-to for Chinese food in Jax. Not to mention, the portions are more than fair and fairly priced. You get great food, great customer service as well as a very clean establishment. Thank you, Fancy Garden, for treating us so well and going above and beyond to give stellar service.“
“There's no pics of food because this post is after thought. I didn't realize how good this was till after I ate it all. Intentions was eat half and save half for lunch. Well let's just say I gotta figure something else out for lunch cause I ate it all lol. I've gotta give props to them. They claim to be NY style Chinese. I wouldn't know because I've never been to NY but I do know their house lo mein and roast pork egg roll some of best I ever had. I don't do rice much so usually get lo mein something at any Chinese restaurant I go to. They claim their lo mein noodles are homemade and after eating I'm not doubting some of the best I've had. They are shaped like fettuccine and not round like spaghetti that I've gotten at most other places. No frills or thrills atmosphere right now they are just delivery or pickup but man I may be once week customer. LG house lo mein and roast pork egg roll $10 and change.“
“Easily the best Chinese in Jacksonville. I always get the spare rib, krab wonton and steamed dumplings. Their dumpling sauce is so delicious (not just regular soy sauce) that I always get extra to also add on top of rice. The customer service is also great. I once called them because I wanted to place an order but wouldn't be able to pick it up until 5-10 min after close and said it'd be okay if they didn't take my order. But the glady did. They will also sometimes throw in free Chinese donuts. I just can't recommend this place more. Me and my family frequent it so often.“
“I had chicken& veggies with fried rice plus an eggroll. Lots of meats and veggies in the plate, including mushrooms which tasted very good. Everything was fresh in my case, the meat very tender. The pork fried rice was tasty and the quantity of meat was generous. The only minus was in the sauce, did not like it so much and it was too thin or sloppy. Other than that, good food. The place seems old, but clean and service is very fast and the price is hard to beat.“
“We had carryout to take back to our hotel. The Kungpow Chicken was outstanding. The best I ever had. perfectly spicy, lots of vegetables and chicken. My husband had the Sweet and Sour Park and he loved it! Thank you for making such high quality Asian food! Would recommend this restaurant to everyone!!“
“Overall, decent take out Chinese. Really loved our entrees, the sesame chicken and lo mein dinner combinations. Egg roll and fried rice were great! Would definitely order again. Unfortunately, appetizers were lacking . Crab cheese wontons and pork wonton filling were pretty bad. Texture on the wrapper was chewy and super greasy, freezer burned taste. Filling was lacking. Hot and Sour had a weird taste. Overall, would come back but only for entrees. Unfortunately, appetizers are a must. Still looking for that good good Americanized Chinese in Jax.“
“Been ordering here for many years. Although there are a couple of tables, it is primarily carryout. Busy weekend nights might have delivery. Always friendly staff. Reasonable prices for good food.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot has handicapped spaces and ramp. Door is wide enough for wheelchair.“
“We were very satisfied not only with food but also with the best service quality, we were very pleased with the Sandy’s service, she was able to provide warm and welcoming service. We will definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have good Cantonese cuisine to come and enjoy it!“
“Best Chinese Food on the Southside!Argue with ya mom ! My family eats here often & the food never misses ! The family running the place is always welcoming & straight to the point . Food is fresh always & cooked quick. Boneless spare ribs with chicken fried rice is always my go to !Give it a try & I promise you'll be glad .Salt & pepper shrimpBoneless spare ribsShrimp eggrollsChicken wingsHoney chickenChicken teriyakiTo name a few bangers!“
“Looking for delicious Chinese food? THIS IS THE PLACE! Crab Rangoon, General Tso’s chicken, friend rice, noodles and spring rolls are my go to every time! Reasonable price, BIG taste, and generous portions. I recommend grabbing some takeout, I promise you won’t regret stopping in! Without a doubt, the best Chinese food in JAX!!!!“
“I asked the lady where she was from, she said China. I know that I meant here in the states, because this isn’t Florida Chinese flavor. She said New York, and I smiled. Hits home with a nice Chicago flavor. This has that real Chinese flavor! Not that bland Jacksonville or Florida Chinese food.I was too busy eating so I didn’t take a photo. Nothing special to look at anyways but the flavor was 10/10!“
“Sushi is so fresh and good I am pleasantly surprised I ordered randomly off door dashThe miso soup is very good and the egg drop soup is a pleasant surprise because I lived in Japan for a few years and it is very hard to find a good egg drop soup in the “
“This place truly looks like a hole in the wall. But the food is absolutely awesome. I believe I'm a connoisseur of Chinese food. And this food is the best so far it has a wide audience and it is always packed. No one has anything bad to say about the food.If you're looking for traditional chinese food and you want a cooked good and get a decent Although they have 2 tables there for you to sit down. This is truly not the atmosphere to dine in , but you could if you have to. The place is truly a friendly environment .“
“Because of the previous owners I never wanted to try this place ever but I did today and it was the best Asian fusion food that I’ve had since I left Atlanta food is very good. I just hope they keep it up and don’t change. Prices are very very good for the amount of food that you get for lunch.“
“Ranked a 3 on atmosphere because I only get delivery, but these guys are consistently good and professional. Some of the best American-Chinese food I've had! I've always been a noodle guy so I highly recommend any of the lo mein dishes. Dumplings are always very good too.“
“I had the general tso chicken with some good and tasty veggies lol mein. This had the perfect spice, season, and portion for a lunch bowl. The only down side I would say is I do not like their teriyaki sauce. I ordered some on the side and it's vinegary and bitter. The food itself was very delicious.“
“Fast service and nice people. I did a delivery so I've never been inside the place yet . Can't comment on ambiance . Food is fresh and right temperature and tasty. ... only one thing to improve. Rice is long grain. I personally prefer Smaller basmati size and taste.“
“If you enjoy the good American version of Chinese food this is the place! I order online and it’s quick, and easy. My food is always hot when I pick it up. The estimated time to be ready has been exact each time. I enjoy their hunan dishes bc they are spicy but not too much to make it uncomfortable to enjoy. I love their rice and you get the option to for veggies or not which it great for me and my picky eater child. Portions are good for 2 ppl that eat in serving sizes or one person who eats a lot. Food tastes fresh. The place appears to be clean. They offer a couple premade dessert options as well. I don’t think you can dine in but it’s a small space so I wouldn’t try. It’s in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. It is not right by the door parking but accessible for wheelchairs and others mobility needs. I would recommend over all the places near it in my area bc I’ve tried most of them.“

“Their food is always super fresh and piping hot. Their line is ALWAYS wrapped around the building so you may experience a little bit of a wait but not too long. The lady at the window is always nice and has something witty to say to make me smile. I always do the vegetable egg foo yong. Best dish!!“
“I can't bring myself to give this place less than 4 stars because I've been eating here for years and it's usually very good but what is up with the chow mein? I thought they gave me the wrong order, it's just like boiled chicken and cabbage. Mein is literally translated to "Noodles" not a noodle in sight, smells like farts. I googled it and I guess it's an East coast thing? I love cabbage but please take this off the menuSide note, they're extremely friendly here, always excellent service ? just don't order this expecting mein“
“My wife and I live in Jacksonville for over 35 years, I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants and I’ve even told the lady at the counter this today that this is the best Chinese in Jacksonville, shoot probably the best in Florida.Try their chicken lo-mein, trust me been here 3 times and we clear the large no problem.Typical Chinese places I can only do half and be full and regretted buying it.Well not here! The lady is super nice and she hooked us up with extra cream cheese wonton just being nice and telling her this is the best!I know how critical reviews are and wanted to make sure you see this!“
“I have been going here for years. I’ve watched the kid grow up here literally. I had one time where they missed an item and argued with me about it. They made it right though. Food is good enough not to care about not being able to eat inside. ?“
“My fave local Chinese place. They have THE BEST eggrolls I’ve found around me. The woman that always answers the phone and takes the orders is like the nicest. She’s super sweet. Shrimp and broccoli with that delicious brown sauce… YUM! Extra brown sauce PLEASE! Never had a bad order from them.“
“I'm not sure why I don't visit Mama Lu's more often. Could it be because it's tucked away on St Johns Bluff, making it easy to overlook? Possibly. Is the parking situation a bit challenging? Definitely. But let me tell you, the effort is absolutely worth it for some of the best Filipino cuisine in the city. I found myself swerving into Mama Lu's cramped parking lot just for a quick bite. I ordered chicken adobo and dinuguan with white rice. The chicken adobo is insanely delicious. Their dinuguan, typically a savory stew made with pork offal, was made with chunks of pork instead, and the gravy was rich, thick, slightly sweet, and utterly delightful. If you're on the hunt for fantastic Filipino food, don't hesitate to give Mama Lu's a try.?“
“We've had Fong's several times and while it's not our go-to, we're happy to see they are open on Tuesdays unlike many other Chinese food restaurants around here. The food was good, hot, and just as it was ordered. Thanks to the other reviewer on here, the Singapore Noodles were amazing!Their prices have gone up significantly compared to the menu on their site, so I've attached a current menu front and back from today (Feb 2024) to provide up-to-date pricing.“
“OMG!!!!! I'VE HAD THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN OF MY LIFE HERE. THE SEASONING IS PHENOMENAL. I'VE NEVER HAD ANYTHING LIKE IT.The name of the restaurant is also very original. Many Chinese restaurants I've been to have some generic name. This one takes the cake ?!“
“I used to occasionally pick up food from here years ago.I like spicy food and their spicy chicken curry is …..unbeatable! ?Great food - Great service/ people - and friendly atmosphere.I highly recommend- 5 + stars in everything in my opinion - “I’ll be back!…Martin T?❤️?“
“The order was called in and ready to pick up at the time given. Excellent service. Delicious and large quantities of food.Vegetarian options: Plenty of great options ??Kid-friendliness: This is not a dine in place. Children could wait in your car or at home ?Parking: It's in a shared plaza parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, yes!! Wheelies of all shape, size, and age are welcome ??Dietary restrictions: I'm allergic to sea food and never have a problem here! They are great with ZERO cross-contamination !“
“This is the absolute best Chinese I have found in Jacksonville I order regularly and am never disappointed I never get dried out stringy chicken the flavor is amazing I always get the general tso the Singapore Mei fun and my fiance the shrimp egg Foo Yung they always perfect the Rangoons are awesome and steam dumplings are perfect mind you I get this delivered and it's always fresh and just amazing ?“
“Honestly have no problems at this restaurant ever. Even had to cancel an order once and there were no problems. Food is always fresh and tasty, service is quick and pleasant, and the restaurant is always clean as well. Definitely will continue eating here when I’m craving good ole American Chinese :)“
“This is one of my favorite Chinese food spots in the city! It's the best food you could possibly get for that price. Awesome food especially the lo mein and egg drop soup. I wish it were closer to my house! They're very quick to make the food and always get my order right. you can order delivery DIRECTLY thru them on their website and save A TON of money compared to UberEATS or doordash. highly recommend!“
“This was our go to place for many years. We recently moved out of state and have not been able to find a good take-out place as good as this one! I would call our order ahead and the staff was always friendly, super quick, and our order was always correct. I have been craving this place since we moved and will miss it!Vegetarian options: Good selection of vegetable and bean curd dishes. General Tao’s bean curd was a favorite“
“We love this place its so good. We order the sesame chicken with white meat and oh my it is delicious. And instead of the egg rolls we get spring rolls they never have a problem switching it up for us. Their steamed dumplings and rice are awesome!! So many other great items they never disappoint and believe me it’s hard to find good fresh Chinese in Jacksonville.“
“Honestly this is the best Chinese fast food I've had so far in Jax. I was going to leave a less good review because the guy owner was kinda rude the other night but that was my fault for going 20 minutes before close on a slow night. Today I called in, lady was super nice, food was ready and tasty! There's a few Chinese restaurants on university that I've only ate once at for a reason. There's a Thai spot on University thats really good so this and that spot are my go to's.“
“Had the GenTso Chicken lunch special w/ Veg Fried rive: very good, plenty of veggies in the rice, chicken was excellent, could use a little more spice, still excellent. Service was top notch, phone order for pickup.will definetly be back!Parking: Park right in front of the restaurant“
“This is an authentic Chinese dim sum experience. The server was very attentive and friendly. The food was tasty and delicious. They have a family owned and operated feel and it shows. It was slow and we felt like we were having lunch with family. Definitely will come back.“
“An unbelievably quiet nook that was exactly what the spirit ordered. I had the seafood soup and fried shrimp appetizer too start. . . Well the soup was perfectly hot and soft in its flavors with the egg white dropped in just so. Adding a little chili oil was the perfect touch. The fried shrimp appetizer went very well with a touch of Chinese mustard and a touch of the chili oil. The main course was the house special and it definitely hit the spot for my spirit, not too salty with a nice mix of proteins, beef, pork, and seafood with the vegetables in a nice oyster sauce, very delightful. Finishing up with a nice poor of hot tea. The music in the background was a nice mix of modern and some time trips to another era. All in all I would definitely recommend this little nook. It is moderately pricey but worth every penny.“
“The fried rice I've been longing for. I've tried several establishments in Arlington, only to find yellow rice where fried rice should be. Well the search is over. The rice here is excellent. Well seasoned including the protein. Jumbo shrimp not those baby shrimp you find everywhere else. I also ordered shumai. They were delicious as well. Service is fast. There's a sofa in the waiting area. They're strictly takeout. No tables for dining in. I actually placed a second order otw home from picking my daughter up from school because I didn't want to share. She had her own.“
“I love going to this restaurant! The taste of the food is consistent and it's always fresh. They make you feel valued, if you go there a lot they know you, even if you call to order. There are two young girls at the front that are so friendly and professional and make you feel welcomed the minute you walk through the door.“
“Favorite “order-in” Chinese restaurant in Jacksonville. My BF would always say Little China was the best until I got him to try Wok N Roll. This is also the only place that sells pork wontons which was a family staple when we get Chinese food after a long night of traveling. I can never find them anywhere until here. So, I may be a little biased…This has been the only take out Chinese food place I have eaten at in 2 years now and it’s not going to change until I move out of Jacksonville lol. They’re quick, food is always fresh, and the shrimp rolls actually have shrimp in them unlike most places only having 2 or 3 of the x-small shrimp in them. I have personally never experienced an off day with them and I can appreciate the consistency in having a warm meal every time I have ordered from them.“
“Me and my family have been going here for more than a decade for our Chinese food dinner. The food is served hot and is still always as hot even when we live on the other side of town. I would recommend calling first to order, it does take a couple of minutes (15-20) for them to prepare your order. Since we are a family of 5 , our bills usually come out at about 40-50$. We usually order: Fried Rice, Large Lo mein, 4 chicken wings, and two orders of Orange Chicken. The food is always delicious and consistent, they are a very trusted establishment and our favorite Chinese place.^^ The staff are very kind and friendly while you are ordering, and they are never rude. I will say the orange chicken here is absolutely delicious and it may be my favorite item on the menu. As for the inside of the small restaurant, it may need some work but it's always been your standard Chinese takeout place. Would definitely recommend you checkout Hunan Wok :)“
“My family and I haven't been to PF Changs in a while but decided to dine in tonight. Our server Cal was nothing short of amazing. He was attentive, funny, and professional. It was a packed house yet our food came out quick and hot. Everything was delicious and flavorful. 10/10Kid-friendliness: There were great food options and activity sheets for littles.“
