How sad La nopalera in Mandarin closed. But not surprised. It used to be the best of them all. In recent years, it went down hill in quality. The chips were consistently fried too hard and the food was often served not hot. The seating was worn out and very uncomfortable. Concerns were shared with management but ignored. It was shame. Those things could have been been easily corrected.

The atmosphere is excellent, the food was good, but the salsa was terrible. I'm not trying to be mean here, but the salsa tasted like canned tomato sauce with cayenne in it. It should have been more ground up onions tomatoes with jalapeño. My party of four all agreed--it tasted like canned tomato sauce with pepper. I would come back again and get the tacos and enchiladas for sure.

San Jose , BEWARE ! I’ve been going to this location for years and recently 2021 this lanops must of changed ownership or management because EVERYTHING THAT WAS TASTING GOOD IS NOW HORRIBLE ! Seasoning of salsa and other sauces have changed for the worst, and the preparation of the dishes served has changed, just horrible, I thought oak leaf location was bad but this one is far worse,That explains why the restaurant didn’t have any customers on weekends. Sadly now we gotta find another Mexican restaurant that actually has good food,

This place is HORRIBLE! STAY AWAY!!! The new owners of this place turned it into a terrible place to eat, they instantly changed the type of meat, chicken, shrimp etc.... they use to increase profit margins and fool customers. They even cheat you for you guacamole because they add lots of cream cheese to it and call it guacamole?? It is all a scam and numerous people have noticed. They have also been written up for the roaches that we noticed at our table which is why everything we experienced was all horrible and the total opposite from the previous ownership who were great, please STAY AWAY!!!! You will not regret staying away!!!!!!!

I only stepped in to get drinks. The restaurant was really nice and clean. The drinks were cheap and really good.

I recently ordered a birria quesadilla but got tacos instead. I called to confirm if this was correct and they told me it’s their quesa birra. Im Mexican American and I was expecting a quesadilla the way it’s supposed to be made out of flower not corn. What set me off more was that I spent $15 on this meal and neither my mom or lil bro wanted to eat it as it lacked flavor and it was not a QUESADILLA!

I got the chicken fajitas. But very though couldn't eat them so has exchange for the shrimp fajitas. Little better

If i could give a no star review i would it was the most disgusting Mexican food i have ever eaten the beef is not real beef it was all soggy i would recommend to never go here again
