We took a chance on the inside after seeing the long line of cars in the drive thru, so I got to see how well their team worked together even though they each had a million things to do. I was also surprised at how friendly everyone was under the circumstances. We had to interrupt them a couple of times because our number didn't come up on the order kiosk after paying and we weren't sure our order had gone through or what number we needed to listen for. “The restaurant has undergone a remodel which makes it feel more comfortable than the past. Everything is clean and kiosk actually work. The location attracts a lot of homeless or those begging for money and food so be prepared. The food was the usual McDonald's but the prices are a bit high for the amount received. Service for inside customers is a bit slow because they turn out most business through their drive through and that seems to be the priority. Otherwise the location is a good place for a fast access, order, and egress.“

“Ordered online (McDonald's app) a couple of double cheese burgers and fries. What was surprising to me was that the french fries were actually cooked well-done [crispy] and were good! It's very sporadic that I've ever had good, well-done/cooked french fries from McDonalds. Those fries like so many other said fast food restaurants are oftentimes undercooked, not crispy at all, and limpy - baked/microwave type of cooking that may fool a kid, but should not fool an adult.“

“I did not go in to eat yet at the newly renovated McDonald's on Merrill, but I did go through the drive-thru. After that, I kne.w I had to review. Everything was very streamlined, and the staff is excellent. The guy on the drive-thru intercom was very friendly and the woman handing me my order was also very friendly and upbeat. “We are traveling through today and stopped in McDonald's for breakfast morning. This may have been one of the cleanest friendliest McDonald's I've ever been inside. We ordered on the app to eat in store. As I walked in I was greeted and asked if the mobile order was mine and that they were working on it. Everything came out fresh and accurate. As we were eating the manager Antoine came out to check on us and joked around with our kids making sure we had everything we needed. McDonald's has many restaurants throughout Jacksonville Florida and the level of service depends upon the franchise owner. Some , like the ones near higher income areas , offer better service and cleaner restaurants than those located in low income areas. All of the restaurants have the standard fare with a selection that seldom changes. In comparison their prices are competitive but since the prices are low the food tends to be bland.Parking: Most of the restaurants have ample parking that is always free.Kid-friendliness: Some of the restaurants have playgrounds designed specifically with children in mind.Wheelchair accessibility: All of the restaurants have wheelchair access and parking.“
“I stopped here to grab a quick dinner after finishing shopping on 11/18/22. Between the long lines, countless Doordash orders flooding in, and the backed up line stretching out the door I soon realized there would be nothing quick about stopping here. Needless to say my only complaint is them being understaffed, I waited 45 mins for my food but that was due to lack of man power not because of the staff. Through all of that, the plus impatient customers in the lobby, i think the manager handled the situation well. He took the whole thing in stride, putting out one fire after the next, maintaining his cool and keeping the whole place moving as fast as the situation would allow. Even though you could tell just how much stress the dinner rush was putting on him, he never missed beat and continued to keep orders flowing out the door.“

“Really love this particular McDonalds French Fries. They are always hot fresh and delicious. I think we all love Mcdonalds french fries but only when they are good hot and fresh. The location is open 24 hours. Ive never experienced the store being closed ( as Ive encountered with other locations) the hours of operations are always exactly as stated on the their website, with zero discrepancies. The restrooms have always been clean and tidy, unlike other locations, ive visited in the past. The staff at this location are always pleasant and truly always inviting leaving their customers feeling pleased with their visit. I rate this particular location a 10 out of 10.Parking: Lots of parking to accommodate even the largest of crowds. If by chance there were to be an over abundance with an extreme amount of customers, there is more parking on and around the outskirts of this location. The staff were not friendly and I was charged for sauces and mayo and she told my 6 yr old he had to pay for a sauce to go with his nuggets. Disappointing and petty. Staff was sitting at tables and one was on the phone loud with a bad attitude, hostile sounding words and my son could hear. He kept yelling across the restaurant to other employees. Unprofessional but it IS McDs. They used to have toys kids loved but that has also changed. If we do go back I'll take my own condiments and sauces.
