We lived in Jacksonville ten years ago and came to Mojo all the time. When we were planning to travel through town for spring break, we made a plan to stop in. Everything was just as delicious as we remembered. The food was so amazing - better than actual North Carolina BBQ we get at home. The service was wonderful, our waitress was helpful and really friendly. It may actually be worth making the seven hour drive just to eat here more often!
We came here on a Thursday evening around 5 and there wasn't many customers. The service was impeccable between both the hostess and the waitress. The food was also good. I got the beef brisket and it was so tender and falling apart. Overall, I definitely recommend this location for dining in if you enjoy attentive service and quality food.

Love love love this BBQ joint. The atmosphere is clean but still BBQ restraint feeling. It’s kind of like Cracker Barrel where everything item you look at on the wall start a new conversation. The service was great, I will say the food took a little longer than expected but definitely well worth it. Also, yes they do have good sweet tea.
