Our first Benihana experience took place in Key West. Seating at the famed hibachi tables had a two-hour wait so since the weather was beautiful, we thought we would sit outside facing the water. Our server, Matt, was welcoming and offered recommendations. I had the tasty Spicy Hibachi shrimp while my daughter opted for the Shrimp Yakisoba. we enjoyed our experience here as normal. the manager offered us free drinks and appetizers for our inconvenience of slow service due to high volume of customers. our chef was hilarious and cooked our meals to perfection
It was a great first experience for my group. This was their first hibachi experience and were confused by the menu at first. I did my best to explain in the time we had to order. However the waitress was busy with other customers leaving and was very patient and understanding, as were we. However, the waitstaff and chef were very friendly and helpful and engaged the whole table.
